Review - This place has great, classic italian food. The sauces are nothing to rave about, but the chicken is the best I have ever tasted. I am very picky about chicken, and it always tastes fresh here. The decor is not much, but it has a nice italian family restaurant feel to it.

Review - Cafe Michelina has fast become my favorite restaurant in Hoboken. Living here for 4 years, but working here for over 15 years, I've had a wide sampling of what this town has to offer, which is great. I'm not going to echo the previous excellent reviews, which are all mostly right on. Simply, this is the best place to enjoy a bottle of wine with your girl and the best, classic, unencumbered Italian food you will ever taste! The family vibe is everywhere. My 100% Italian grandfather had many words about the food here when I brought him...and he has many words about FEW things!!! I'm here at least once a week! Gelato is Insane! God Bless Cafe' Michelina!!!

Review - wonderful straight forward italian food. the service is so personal you will feel like family. pete, the owner, is hands on in the kitchen and a more affable man you'll be hard pressed to find. working as a local bartender i have had the pleasure of directing many a hungry patron to michhelina. without a doubt...my favorite place in town.

Review - What a great place! The family is fabulous. The place is such a great place for good, tasty food. We love the chicken murphy! Yum.. Always go home with a doggie bag.
Review - I love this place. Except for trying to sit outside in the summer, it's never crowded, even though the food is great. I just love the casual atmosphere so much better than the trendy places around. My favorite is the penne arrabiata. It is soooo good, and although a bit pricey for a pasta dish that doesn't include any meat, I still order it every time I go there. Service isn't always fast, but is typically always friendly. Delivery service is super speedy though.

Review - I love this place. My friends and I go quite a bit. The service is great and the food is outstanding. It's really a no frills-type place with amazing food. The bruschetta is unbelievable and the chicken parm is my fave. Pretty decent prices. Definitely one of my favorite places in Hoboken.

Review - Michelina's has been my favorite restaurant for years. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere casual, and the service delightful. I have introduced many a friend to this restaurant and they've also become big fans. No longer Hoboken's best secret, it is sometimes very crowded so I recommend reservations on date nights but it is consistently worth the wait. Don't forget a bottle of wine since it's BYOB. I love this place!

Review - I have been going to Cafe Michelina's for thw past decade and have been John's home. If you want wery good classic Italian food and feel like you are in a someone's home, then this is the place to go for a delightful meal. It is unpretentious in the food and service. It is a relaxed atmosphere where the servers spend time at tables just making new friends. I am a Culinary Institute of America grad and was a Director of Operations for Mario Batali, people line up at his restaurants for food of a similar nature, but this is a cleaner and simpler fare with the feeling of being at home. i personally know that , the very best ingredients are used, they do not cut corners, I have been in the kitchen many times and though small, the food produced is very good with no cost cutting or short cuts taken. My opinion is biased, not because I am friends with Pete and John but because I enjoy a very good meal at a reasonable price served by friendly staff.

Review - my absolute favorite restaurant in hoboken. if you have not eaten here, get there as soon as possible. bring your own wine, i dare you to try to run up a huge bill, it's impossible and for the very reasonable prices, you get to sample amazing food and enjoy the fantastic ambiance. the antipasto for two has something for everyone and his vodka sauce is amazing. my personal favorite, veal en corozza. ridiculous.

Review - Having heard so many positive reviews about the restaurant I decided to give it a try. Had the Veal Carozza - was very disappointed. It was a tough, tiny piece veal in an oily breading. The meal was terrible but the waiter was nice (if that's any consolation).

Review - This is the best Italian restaurant in New Jersey, hands down. The chef buys his food fresh, and cooks to order. He even does special orders... You can talk Italian to the waiters who are all family... Go there. Eat there. and you will be back for more guaranteed

Review - It's a nice, small mom & pop restaurant a few blocks off the main drag in Hoboken. The chicken dishes are good but the pasta sauce(marinara) is definitely boring. We never got asked what we wanted to drink and had to ask for the bill. The servers weren't rude or anything but they didn't give the basic service expected. It's about $12 per person for dinner. You have to bring your own wine which I don't mind at all. I hope this review helps!

Review - I absolutely LOVE this place! It is by far my favorite restaurant in Hoboken and it’s BYOB (that tops it off)! I went away for a week to the Dominican Republic with a few girl friends and the food was terrible. When we got back the first place we went to was Cafe Michelina’s – I’m talking we were there within 30 min. of landing. LOVE IT!!!!

Review - The food here is great as long as you stick to the menu. I made the mistake of ordering the filet when it was on special and it had a large tendon through it and the veggies that they served with it were the frozen kind from the bag. Every other time I have been here has been great though.

Definitely try to Chicken Michelina over Angel hair, it's one of the best! I get excited everytime I go here!

Review - With the quantity and variety of Italian restaurants in Hoboken - do not waste your time. Everything about this place is average. Nevertheless - have been there twice and they are consistently average.

Review - When Michelina first opened around 1995 I lived very close and it soon became my favorite Hoboken restaurant for Italian food. I now don't live as close but still make it a point to revisit periodically. The food has never been short of very good and sometimes is exceptional. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.
