Review - What do you do when you want to spoil yourself? For me, the answer is buying myself flowers. Several weeks ago, I stumbled across a little tiny shop and when I went inside, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. The store was filled with colorful, lively, beautiful plants and flowers and every corner I turned, I would notice something that would jump out at me. Since that encounter, my dining room table has been filled with an amazing arrangement of flowers that just makes me smile every time I walk past it.
Recently, Bill and Christina took it took it to the next level. With the warm weather around the corner, I asked Bill one day what would it take to have my dream balcony. When he told me the initial amount...reality set in and I asked myself, what was I thinking (there was no way I could afford that). When Bill saw the expression on my face, he ripped up the invoice and said I know you are on a strict budget, don't worry, your balcony will be beautiful.
What Bill has done is basically brought a mini version of Beethoven to my home. I was speechless and honestly could not believe it. Bill worked his magic and turned my balcony into a piece of art.
I always look forward to making a trip to Beethoven's Veranda. The store, the flowers, the people- are truly one of a kind. Thank you Bill and Christina.

Review - Beethoven's Veranda is a wonderful business. Bill designed and installed the planters on our terrace and has been maintaining them for several years now. My husband and I look forward to seeing Bill every spring and fall because we love to see the new colors and design of the flowers. Bill is very professional and takes great care to protect our home when he is working. Our spring flowers look amazing and, regardless of the weather, it looks like spring on our terrace right now!

Review - Your flowers are just beautiful. I was especially excited about the Valentine's Day arrangement, the tightly packed tulips were exquisite, and the creativity you infused into the design with the berries was perfect. I very much appreciate your kindness, thoughtfulness and creativity to give my aunt something special regarding the passing of her mother and my grandmother. My aunt could not stop raving about the flowers. She said they were the most beautiful flowers she had ever seen and it made her feel so good to get them. My aunt said what is the name of that flower shop again? She thought you were so very nice also. Thankyou for your kind words about me to my aunt as well. Review - With St. Valentine’s Day here it could be financially challenging for many of us to treat our special Valentine in the style or method we have in the past when employed. In my case my lovely honey of 10 years (married that is) is so understanding, we changed our strategy to enjoy the holiday, we went out for a superb meal last night at Rebecca’s in Edgewater (http://rebeccascubanrestaurant.com/ ). This strategy enabled us to enjoy their great menu and not being pushed into a corner of pricey Pre-fix meals (like New Years Eve for example) which for the most part of overpriced to begin with and not the same great food that draws you back to a favorite restaurant. We had a lovely meal and were not rushed so they could turn the table 2 or 3 times.
Secondly I had gone into Beethoven’s Veranda, the flower shop on 10th between Washington and Bloomfield, and met with Bill the proprietor (he and his wife in business for 10 years- they must be doing something right). http://beethovensveranda.com/index2.html I told Bill that I wanted to do something special for my honey was a bit financially strapped being out of work, he was so accommodating first offering me other non-rose options with the wide selection of beautiful orchids and then was willing to work with me cost wise so that my wife could enjoy roses on St Valentines. See enclosed photo of a most beautiful long stem rose arrangement the effort Bill put into the presentation for my wife.
Bill, thank you for accommodating me and you now have a raving fan customer. Bill did not only make a sale which helped to lessen is “rose” exposure inventory, but made a fan of me; hence why I am sharing my story with you.
Moral of this story, even if we are financially challenged we can still enjoy special holidays and moments with our loved ones with slight changes in strategy and understanding of our partners and secondly, to overcome the onslaught of the box store retailers we should remember those hard working proprietors who take care of their customers turning them into more than just customers but rather raving fans.

Review - I used Beethoven's Veranda for my baby shower at Amanda's - they were fantastic to work with. Christina was able to pull together arrangements with my favorite flowers, tried to use the most seasonal flowers from the best farmers (flowers that have seen soil, not from a factory), and she created lavendar bouquets for all my guests. I would use them again for any special occassion.

Review - Beethoven's Veranda is fantastic. This summer, we had them renovate our backyard, and they did a wonderful job transforming it into a paradise. It now looks like a hotel garden! They walked us through each step of the job, and they finished quickly and efficiently. There were no hidden costs. Along the way, they constantly gave us different additional options as to what we could do back there. They were the utmost professionals, and we strongly recommend them.

Review - I just purchased an orchid that Bill arranged in a beautiful pot with a willow branch. It is gorgeous! I'm not a green thumb but Bill was very patient and helpful with care instructions. He also said that they will do flower arrangements. I'm so happy to have finally found a place that doesn't just sell plants and flowers - but actually knows how to put beautiful arrangements together! Their Edgewater store is near Sabor Latin Bistro on River Road - I actually went there first before finding the Hoboken one.
