Review - Panera Bread is all over the place. They seem to be doing well and one visit will tell you why. Although lacking some of the charm and variety of a traditional bakery, you'll find some of the most sugary delicious bagles, scones and frosted pastries.

Yet the real draw for me has always been the lunch food. I always go for the reasonably priced 1/2 sandwich and bowl of soup. They usually have 5 soups, a good variety of healthy choices and all delicious. The sandwiches (paninis) don't change, but there are over a dozen to choose from and while many aren't too healthy, they're also all delicious. Some panini favorites include fontega chicken, chicken pomodoro, turkey artichoke and tuscan chicken.

Panera is also a favorite among students who find ample room, coffee and wifi to study for hours on end. Panera may not be able to hold a candle to the high quality gourmet offerings so prominently abound in Hoboken, but it finds its own niche between fast food and sit-down dining.

Review - This place is great. I love the idea of combining a bakery, restuarant, cafe and hangout spot in one place. At Panera, you can either grab something to go (like their infamous Frontega chicken sandwich,,, make sure to get it early though they run out of it very quickly) or you can work on your laptop (free wifi) while having coffee and some desert. Perfect for studying or working. If you have a long list of things to do and it is lunch time, you can always order lunch there.

My only concern about Panera is like what the previous review said, some of the new employees are rude,,, but in all fairness their employees are usually friendly.

Review - This place has the worst customer service ever! Most of the employees appear completely out of it or they are just really slow. You usually have to repeat yourself several times before they actually acknowledge what you are asking for and even then, they almost always forget something or give you the wrong thing. The last time I was there, one of the employees was yelling at the other out in the open and another employee was shoving a bagel down their throat. in my opinion, that is inappropriate. On another occasion, a female employee was belting out loud some vulgar song while preparing the sandwichs....The managers obviously do a poor job of managing hteir employees.

Review - I agree with the last poster - the food is very inconsistent & the younger staff are rude which is a shame because the place is really nice if only you ALWAYS got what you asked for.

Review - Two out of the last three greek salads I got there had no olives. The last one (to go) had no dressing with it. So I wouldn't say that consistency is their strong suit. Many of the younger employees are incredibly rude and will stand there talking to each other while ridiculously long lines build up.

Review - Unlike a lot of restaurants, at Panera you can stay around for hours talking with other people or doing work. (For example at Dunkin' Donuts there is a half hour time limit, which is not the case at Panera.) The majority of people that come to Panera seem to have laptops, cell phones and electronic gadgets. This might occur because there's outlets avalible to the public free of charge. The food is OK but expensive. There's always jazz music playing.

Review - I first discovered Panera on a trip to Florida (I ate at their Melbourne location). Initially, I didn't think they were a chain-the food was really great. So you can imagine my surprise when I was able to find several locations in the tri-state area (I live in the Bronx).
Everything I have tried has been great. I would most recommend the chicken salad sandwich with the Italian vegtable soup. Enjoy!

Review - I liked this place a lot. The food is good and you have to give them a temporary name so that when they call it out you can come get your food. There's a likeable atmosphere here, and this is one of the few restaurants where you can actually plug in an appliance to an outlet next to a table while you're eating. Every once in a while there will be a five minute buy one get one free offer. The dining area is huge compared to a lot of other restaurants in Hoboken.
