Review - Shaka has great skill as a massage therapist. He consistently checks in to ensure he's applying the right amount of pressure. He is also a wealth of information on all things concerning health and wellness and does an amazing job of addressing my health issues through reflexology. Thanks Shaka!

Review - My initial experience with Shaka was under emergency circumstances and I can't imagine being attended to any better. I had a newly broken leg requiring me to stay bed ridden in the beginning. As a consequence of the injury and not moving around the first couple weeks after the break, my back went into a terrible, nightmarish spasm. I could not move an inch. I was in excruciating pain. I didn't know what to do until I fortuitously found Bodytherapy services from a desperate google search on my phone in bed. I needed someone who could make a house call, do it right away, and work a miracle. I found the right person! Shaka was so accommodating, he came in a few hours, worked on my back and muscles in my bed with me on my back! I was unable to move or really turn over and I had a broken leg to boot! This was a tricky situation that he totally remedied in about 3 visits. After the first visit, to the shock of my friends and family, I was sitting up in bed and was able to get up. I don't know what I would have done without him! I will definitely continue to see Shaka for general stress relief and muscle relaxation.

Review - Was looking for a last minute massage, because I got off work and just had to have one. Went online to look for places here in Hoboken and came across AAA. After reading the reviews here, I called up and had no problem getting an appointment with a very nice young woman named Daria. I got a 90 minute massage and it was excellent, so here adds another recommendation...give them a call.

Review - My boyfriend and I are training for a marathon and both have stressful jobs. After a long week we tried to find a last minute appointment at many spas in the area. We couldnt find any but AAA Bodytherapy Services had an opening. We were both very apprehensive sitting in the living room of this apartment and wondering about this massage. Within minutes of being on the massage table, I could have been on a tropical island or in someone's living room, it didnt matter where I was. This was, hands down, one of the best massages I have ever received. He knew EXACTLY where all my trigger points were from running and stretched me like I had never been stretched before. It was an amazing experience and I highly reccomend it to athletes, especially those running an upcoming marathon. I feel like a different runner after getting massaged and stretched. AMAZING! I already recommended him to my friends in the area.

Review - Folks, if you are looking for an otherworldly escape, a sublimely aesthetic kind of expectation, you will not find it here. There are no candlelit hallways or panpipe love songs being pumped in. It is an apartment converted to a massage salon. The space is clean, serene and tasteful though, the bathroom is clean and it serves its purpose.
To be sure, you come to this place that goes by different names, not for a spa experience but for Shaka.s hands, and I am sure the hands of the girls that work with him. In my case, Shaka. Frankly, I'd much rather have his masterful digits on my skin, penetrating into the aching flesh underneath, than some artifice designed to ‘play’ on my mind.
Besides, if you aren't relaxed after a few minutes with Shaka, there's little hope that anything else might help you.
And by the way, he gave me a consent form to choose from the two styles he provides, I was a bit curious and I selected “option 2”. That was a good choice for me, I can only say that it deliciously altered my state of consciousness. If you go to Shaka for a massage and if you can stop thinking too much for a while, select his “option 2” lie down on the massage bed and let his hands talk with your body.
Before a massage, I usually tell my masseur that I am ticklish. I explained this to Shaka before he started. And as he administered the most amazing massage I have ever had, I was happily surprised that I almost never felt tickled.
Unlike any massage before, my session with Shaka felt like it was designed for me. It included a great deal of compression and stretching, which felt amazing. Shaka is gifted with intuition as well as equipped with a great understanding of anatomy. Where other massage therapists feel like they're simply going through the motions, I felt like Shaka was very present and had a genuine desire to leave me feeling better than when I came in.
I think Shaka is actually gifted for this kind of bodywork. I had a massage elsewhere 3 weeks later and the entire time on the table I could only think of Shaka.
It is possible that he has ruined me for all others.
I highly recommend AAA Massage Services/Integrated Bodytherapy. I especially recommend Shaka for any woman who wants to enjoy a delicious, deeply therapeutic massage.

Review - I have been an athlete all my life and have had many massages from many different therapists over the years to relieve my body's tightness and sore areas. I also get a lot of deep stress and tension knots, which I try to alleviate with yoga and lots of stretching, however, I have found that I can't releive my tightness on my own. In the past, I have received massages at spas, resorts, athletic training facilities, and gyms, and I have always left either disappointed or not really satisfied. Aside from the hefty prices, the quality was just not there.
I found Shaka and integrated body services randomly and have had 2 massages. Each time he was completely accomadating to my schedule and both massages were without a doubt the best I have ever received.
Not only did Shaka pay special attention to the areas I indicated, but he always made sure the pressure was ok, asking questions and then listening and adjusting to my feedback. His hands are strong yet gentle, knowledgeable and compassionate.
If you are looking for a REAL massage with a therapist who actually seeks to heal your body, then you must go to Shaka.

Review - Shaka is an incredible therapist who works with an assortment of modalities to accomplish whatever it is I need when I go in. I've had alot of body work done and Shaka is clearly talented and he knows what he's doing, and he is gifted in what he does. I always come away feeling incredibly better, in fact--I'm addicted! I see him regularly and his reasonable prices make it possible to do so. I would recommend going to anyone.

Review - I am a young woman, my job is very stressful, my commute to work is long and stressful, I workout pretty hard in the gym, and very often my neck, back, hands and legs get tight and sore with tension.
I get about 2 massage a month, and I always wanted to find a therapist who offer something with a difference. Well, a friend referred me to Shaka, in Hoboken, I made an appointment soon after, and I have been hooked since then.
All I can say is that Shaka's massages really get out the knots and tension from my body, as well as touch all the chords of my tactile senses. I go twice a month, and I highly recommend his services to any woman who wants a good massage.

Review - I have not had a massage for a while, because I was really frustrated with The fluff and buff they give in the Spas, and most other massage places.
But a few days back, I was in pain from the stress and tension of work, exercise and I guess life in general,
A friend told me about Shaka at a massage place in Hoboken, (I live in West New York), I went, and I was truly amazed by the great massage he gave me. I decided to try his Non-conventional menu and, for the first time, I felt like the tension and soreness were massaged out of my whole body, it was an awesome full body treatment, experience,
I left feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated. My shoulders and some other areas were a little sore for about a day, That was kind of expected, because it was my first REAL massage ever.
It is now more than a week and I still feel alive from that massage.
I felt totally comfortable and cared for so, I will be back again Shaka.
I totally recommend Shaka, and the other therapists who work at AAA Massage.

Review - As a massage therapist, I find it important to have a therapist for my body that truly understands their work and has the innate ability to access my needs. I started receiving massages from Shaka/Flynn over two years ago after trying several other massage therapists in the area. He is absolutely wonderful. Review - I had been experiencing alot of neck and upper back pain for several days and decided to get a massage, hoping that it would alleviate some of the pressure. I read about Shaka on this website and decided to schedule an appointment and am sooo completely glad that I did, and that he was able to fit me in that day. He was able to pinpoint exactly where the sources of my pain were and made me feel so at ease the entire time. He explained everything he was doing and what was going on in my upper body to make me feel so tight. I feel so much better now, all thanks to him.

Review - Despite the review at the top of the list for this place, I went to Shaka for a massage. I was curious, and he gave me an appointment that was very convenient for me. Now I am hooked.
I was tense and hurting all over, from my stressful job and working-out too hard at the gym. Before the treatment started, Shaka explained that he worked with a standard and a non-standard procedure and that I should say which one I felt most comfortable with. To me offering such choices was refreshing, I am not particularly shy so I decided to try the Non-standard style.
Because my body was so broken, the massage was intense, and some of it hurt but in a good way. However, he used some of what he calls full-body, Free Flowing Strokes; these were deeply relaxing they have an exquisite, sensuous feel which was a good distraction from the more intense part of the treatment. Shaka's massage treatments are not 'run of the mill' his work is different to the rest, and for me the whole experience was really great. I did two visits and I will be going back. It is by far the most enjoyable and rewarding massage I have had anywhere. If you are looking for results; If you are looking for a massage with a difference, I recommend Shaka/Flynn.
And by the way, though it is his apartment, I feel comfortable when I go there. The massage room looks and feels like a dedicated space, and he plays several kinds of music including Reggae, 'massage music' Enya, Enigma and Apertio.

Review - After reading all of the favorabale reviews on this site I felt compelled to try out a massage with Shaka when I was experiencing back pain. It was nothing like I ever imagined. He runs his business by himself out of his apartment. Unlike most massage places/spas, the office was not comforting, relaxing, or soothing. Actually as a young woman walking into his apartment in the evening for a massage, I felt quite uncomfortable. He has a massage table in a back bedroom and he plays reggae music while conducting the massage. That said, the massage was great and he really helped my back pain. I just thought it was important to tell people what to expect.

Review - Based on user reviews I decided to try AAA with Flynn. I have to say, it was probably the best massage I've ever had. The first time I went I was extremely stiff from starting to work out again and I walked out of there feeling completely loose and relaxed. It's not a spa experience, but if you need a good massage, I'd highly recomend him.

Review - I came to Shaka Flynn with a lot of tension - back pain, neck pain - I was a mess. From the first massage, I knew I would have to come back. I walked out of there feeling as though an anvil had been lifted off my shoulders. I felt rejuvenated, released - it was the most amazing massage I had ever received. I've been getting massages from him for about a year now - and I completely notice the difference in my body, in how I manage stress, in my self-awareness. His work with me has been very deep, and has had a huge impact on me. I give him my highest recommendation.

Review - I was diagnoised with cancer several years ago – cancer my doctors believed had been brought on by years of chronic stress. Thankfully, my cancer is in remission. However, the chronic stress that caused the cancer was still visible in physical body – in certain “habitual holding patterns”. Shaka Flynn has been able to literally reconstruct my physical self, releasing years of stress that was deep inside my body’s tissue, fascia, muscle, bone, and organs. Through his fast knowledge of human physiology, he has helped to coach me in understanding what is physically causing my “habitual holding patterns”. While at the same time giving me exercises to do at home and throughout the day – to help maintain the work he has done. The improvement in my stress level and physical self is nothing short of remarkable. Yet, even more wondrous – is the old emotional blockages that have been released through his work. I give Shaka Flynn my highest recommendation. He is a man that is not only at the top of his field in regards to technique and expertise – he is a man who has a real desire in achieving each clients individual needs.

Review - Shaka and Daria did a great job for my B/F and I. We had one of the Couples Massage Special. Shaka has very healing hands. I was very stressed out from my job and working out in the gym, when we went in. I had an extra half hour on my session, I came out feeling really rejuvinated and centered.
Going there, was money well spent.

Review - I am a massage regular. For me, even the second and third rate ones help a little. However, I never thought that I will actually feel compelled to write one of these reviews, that is until I had a massage from SHAKA (Flynn). I got these thrilling goose bumps for most of the massage, with the warm lotion and the firm touch that got into all my tension spots. Shaka knows how to find the trouble points and work them out. I had a nagging pain in my lower back for several weeks, I got off the massage table and it was gone. It is now one week since my massage with Flynn and the pain is still gone.
I highly recommend Shaka (Flynn) and AAA Bodytherapy. Liz H.
