Review - This company came highly recommender by a previous client. I recently moved from Montclair to Clifton and the team was very professional. Moving can be an unpleasent experience but these guys made this move very pleasent. They finish is record time which minimized the cost. Review - Is it crazy to say moving can be fun. Well, it sort of was with Morrissey's Moving. They moved my family last Saturday from Hoboken to Scotch Plains. Ralph did our estimate, which was a bit lower then it ended up being but I anticipated that (it was still about $600 cheaper then Flat Rate!). Frankey, Rodney, Hiran and Pauly moved us. They were fast, efficient and in general a pleasure to work with. They really made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. They worked really hard on the 9 hour move and the smiles remained all day. I hope not to move for the next 20 years, but if we do we will definitely use Morrissey and I most definitely recommend then to everyone!!!

Review - My family has used Morrissey's Moving Company 5 times in the last few years. I recently just used them to move on October 30th. The movers were fast, professional, helpful and very pleasant. I am having all my stuff (furniture, tv, boxes, ect) stored at their new storage facility which is so convenient and easy. The storage facility is secure and clean which is most important. I would recommend Morrissey Moving Company to all my family and friends.

Review - I used Morrissey to move yesterday and they were phenomenal.
The guys were friendly, professional and very fast. They actually finished almost two hours faster than the estimate (the key was that I was completely packed before they arrived). I haven't finished unpacking but I haven't run across anything that was damaged during the move. They were delicate with all of the items, nothing was dropped, dragged or banged into walls.
I did a lot of comparison shopping before the move and these guys had the best rates and were completely upfront about additional charges (mattress bags, tape, TV box, parking fees, etc.) which all of the other guys left out of the estimates.
I was dubious of all the good reviews on kannekt but I found them to be absolutely accurate. I will be using Morrissey for my next move.

Review - Recently used Morrissey's for a move in-Hoboken. This is a company that actually knows what customer service is. The owners are involved and hold themselves and their crews accountable from start to finish. Walter and his team were courteous, friendly and very hard working. Don't waste your time with pulling a tag off some flyer on Washington Street for what looks to be a cheap move. Morrissey's will do it right at a fair price.

Review - It is a pleasure to write a review about Morrissey's Moving Company. A move from New Jersey to Boston. I met with Ralph Morrissey, President of Morrissey's Moving Company, for a quote. I found Mr. Morrisey to be both professional and knowledgable.
The day of the move, Morrissey'e Moving Company arrived at the exact time that was scheduled. Hiram and Walter were assigned to my move. They were extremely helpful and polite. They wasted no time at all, they got right to work. They wrapped everything with care.
The last person from Morrissey's I dealt with was Kathleen regarding the final cost of the move. I found her to be professional and pleasant.
I highly recommend Morrissey's Moving Company. They made the move stress free, which I appreciated.

Review - Morrissey's Moving is an excellent moving company. I was given an estimate by Ralph Morrissey himself, who came to my apartment at 10pm on a Wednesday night. He was congenial, honest, and friendly. Phone conversations with Helen, who was my contact with their office throughout the move, were efficient, productive, and helpful. The movers who came were strong, efficient, and careful of my belongings and the buildings we were moving in and out of. They even laughed at the jokes I made when they had to carry my girlfriend's purse. Morrissey's Movers wound up beating their estimate, even after I asked them to move more furniture than I planned. I highly recommend Morrissey to anyone moving in or around the Hoboken area.

Review - After reading all the reviews I decided to hire Morrissey's to move me from Hoboken to Staten Island. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a honest, fairly priced moving company. 1) They stayed true to their estimate time, which movers usually do not do. Review - I used Morrisey's last week to move within Hoboken. I can't tell you what a pleasue it was to work with them. I have had terrible experiences with moving companies in the past so I was extremely satisfied with this experience. Ralph and Helen are extremely proffessional. Ralph came over to give me a quote. Showed me all his credentials and gave me a very fair quote which was exactly what I wound up paying. No surprises at all. He even removed old furniture to gift to charities he works with. Review - I used Morrissey for both packing and moving services and there work was solid. Despite a hiccup of not having enough boxes for the packing, Frankie was able to pack up my place in about 4 hours (with one trip back to pickup more boxes). The next day, Frankie returned with Jamal and Hiram(?) and moved me out from my old place (3rd floor) into my new place (4th floor) in 4 hours. Review - I just had the BEST move ever! Ralph, the owner, came to my apartment to quote the job. He was very professional and showed me all of their insurance documents. Helen then followed up with me after...She definitely makes the trains run on time and confirmed my move a few times prior to the move date which was very reassuring. They are very organized and professional!
Jamal, Paul and Charlie arrived right on time move day and were really great to work with. They wrapped all my furniture very gently and wrapped my upholstered furniture in plastic to protect it before using the pads(request this from Helen when setting up your move).
They finished a little early and were really nice guys. It was the most enjoyable and STRESS FREE move I have ever had!
I highly recommend Morrissey's for their professionalism, promptness, great prices and most of all, making the moving process really easy!

Review - Charlie, Jaime and someone else moved me yesterday morning in the rain! They came on time and took less than expected. Which is great. They worked fast and efficently. They had this move down to a science. Boxes were provided and dropped off prior to moving day which is was nice. And they are being picked up as well. I moved into a 5th floor walk up and had some heavy pieces. The stairs were a killer but they had a plan and it flowed extremely well. I would absolutely reccommend this moving company to anyone!

Review - I recently moved out of a third floor walk up in Hoboken. Foreman Stacey Johnson and his crew of three did an outstanding job of carrying down numerous large pieces of furniture. The common halls were recently redone, so I was concerned about damage, but Stacey and his crew left the halls spotless, despite an excessively large/heavy sleeper sofa. The crew came in below estimate, and Stacey did an excellent job managing his crew, so that the job was done quickly, but also with a focus on maintaining quality.

Review - I had the misfortune of scheduling a move on an awful day, it might as well have been a monsoon. I also misjudged the amount of stuff that had to be moved and went against the company's recommendation and hired three movers instead of four. The Morrissey mover's had several other obstacles, including multiple stops to throw out furniture and empty a storage unit. Despite the various issues, the mover's were professional, courteous, worked extremely hard and took excellent care of all of our belongings. They were worth every penny and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering hiring a moving company.

Review - I have now used Morrissey twice in the past 2 years and they were incredible. Our first team moved us from a 2nd floor walkup to a 4th floor walkup in Hoboken and were done in a record time of 2 hours 45 minutes. We were ecstatic! Our second move consisted of a 4th floor walkup to an elevator building in JC. At first only 3 movers showed up and there were people parked in our spots for the truck. Helen was on the phone to the parking utility and got us another mover. Guys at Morrissey's did a spectacular job and did it in record time! The task was very complicated and they executed very, very professionally indeed! They shrink wrapped all furniture very carefully and wrapped everything in movers` cloth. The team moved everything to the truck quickly and carefully without damaging my walls. Review - I used Morrissey's to move just across the street in Hoboken. They arrived on time and were really friendly and efficient. They had some trouble getting our couch up the very narrow staircase (it didn't fit in the elevator) but worked extremely hard until they were able to get it into the new apartment for us. The estimated time it would take was spot on and the rate can't be beat. I would definitely use Morrissey's again. The guys that came over (Frank, Walter, Jamie) were very professional and extremely nice and made moving actually somewhat pleasurable. Ralph and Helen were also great to work with. Review - Morrissey's saved the day! We had booked with Tommy's Moving Company, but they bailed on us, never called until after the appointment time to tell us they were late or even coming. We waited for hours and lost $40 on the parking passes he asked us to buy.
We called Morrissey's at noon to see if they could help us, and Helen was amazing. She was so nice and helped us book a new time in the afternoon the same day. Stacy and the guys were awesome, fast, and seriously saved our move.

Review - First I must say Morrissey's made what was a rather frustrating moving day as effortless as possible. The crew arrived early and introduced themselves. They proceeded to move my belongings as carefully and systematically as possible. Then we ran into a glitch. Three other people in my apartment building were moving at the same time. One of the other movers overloaded the elevators and burned them out resulting in a fire alarm. The guys were wonderful. They called Helen and she stopped the clock immediately to our relief. The men continued to wrap the rest of the contents as soon as we got back into the building. When one elevator was fixed they resumed the move. I especially want to thank Charlie and Larry for being so courteous, efficient and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Larry for taking such care in moving my plasma tv. Review - Having moved 3 times (both local and long distance) I have had some very 'terrible' experiences. No matter the company, I am just accustomed to the same horrible experience. However, I have to say it was the easiest and most professional move I have done. The movers were very gentle and systematic. He visited our apartment and made us feel very comfortable. He takes great pride in his business. Review - I have used Morrissey’s twice now, I had really thought that my first moving experience with them was great and couldn’t get any better the second time around. I was wrong, my second moving experience with them was even better than the first and i am extremely grateful towards them. My story is below.
After living in jersey city for 4 years i decided to head across the river to brooklyn in favor of cheaper rent and more to do. Unbeknownst to me a lot of movers will not go to brooklyn because of the narrow streets and general pain when it comes to parking, etc. I had not hired Morrissey’s the first time, my ex did so i had to rack my brain for a moment to remember which company he had hired.
I called Helen two weeks in advance and was told it would not be a problem to move me from jersey city to bay ridge, after giving my address she immediately pulled up my information from the prior move to verify the contents and set up the appointment for the estimate. ralph personally came to give me the estimate and was cordial and funny and his estimate came in well below other companies i had contacted.
so moving day comes and larry, francisco, and ramon show up 30 minutes early and they are great. they’re friendly and polite and make small talk with myself and my parents. as the van is halfway loaded with everything i own i receive a call from my broker notifying me that my new place is not yet done with renovations. Immediately from the stress of moving and other factors i begin to cry. not only did these men offer words of encouragement but they stopped what they were doing and asked me how i wanted to proceed. since most of the stuff was already on the van i called helen to get storage rates for 2 days. never once did they pressure me into storing my furniture with them and even offered to start unloading the van.
well 2 days turned into 3 days and i could not get into my apartment until wednesday. i had to juggle the timing a few times and never once did helen complain when i had her shift these poor 3 guys from move to move to accommodate me. on wednesday at noon they arrived in the pouring down rain and began to move all of my belongings into my new place.
two hours later the job was complete. as a token of my appreciation i tipped everyone well, including helen.
so fellow readers please take a moment to say THANK YOU. it means a lot, these guys bust their asses all day long to schlep heavy furniture in and out of buildings, up and down stairs, and probably deal with some nasty people along the way that bark instructions at them. take a moment to make conversation, you’d be surprised at how much it makes a difference. understand that these guys are human beings and offer them a beverage and ask them how they are doing.
most importantly please don’t be cheap, tip. if you can’t afford to tip then you shouldn’t have hired movers to begin with.
all told i will and have recommend MMC to anyone. in total they had to move my stuff twice, from my old apartment into storage and from storage into my new apartment. the end rate was still cheaper than i expected, helen even knocked off time even though it was me that was inconveniencing them not the other way around.
as stressful and exhausting as moving can be dealing with MMC was the least stress i encountered during my entire move.
*ps, i have read on other websites that people think some of the reviews on this site are fake or made up by people that work for MMC. i am by no means affiliated with MMC, just a very grateful customer.

Review - I have to say I have never had such a wonderful experience with a moving company. I moved from Bloomfield to Nutley in September. I had a lot of big heavy furniture, many items were antiques and glass. The movers were on time, friendly, and very approachable. The job was completed in under the estimated time. At the time I did not realize that I wrote a check for $110 too much. The crew didn't notice that I had over paid when I handed it to them. The next evening I received a call from Helen informing me that I had paid too much. She told me that my check was already in the mail being sent back to me. This wasn't my first move. In fact I have moved seven times in the past fifteen years and I have never exper ienced this kind of topnotch service. I have been and will continue to recommend Morrissey's Moving Company to everyone!

Review - Best movers I ever had. Priced right...estimate given was very realist. No stupid charges for tape or wrapping the furniture. Only thing was the movers did not follow the signs on the box and hence some of the stuff was not in upright position. But luckly nothing broke. Review - This was the best move experience I could have asked for.
We had interviewed 5 movers. Their estimates were very, very high. Ralph, from Morrisseys, came in and was professional and fair. We hired him immediately.
Our movers, Larry, Ray, Stfven and Kadir, were friendly, prompt, quick, accomodating, etc. I can't say enough about their professionalism and courtesy. And Helen, who set-up the move for us, was very helpful.
No question, I will recommend Morrisseys to anyone moving and will be using them for my next move, whenever that may be.

Review - Morrissey's is simply the best moving company I have ever dealt with. Due to a construction delay we had to move our belongings into storage (Public Storage on Adams is great too). Morrissey's allowed us to keep all of our furniture wrapped in their pads at no extra charge for a month and then moved us into our new home. The guys upon seeing it was a new place immediately suggested we put felt pads on the feet of all of our furniture so we don't scratch up our new floors. Some people may call this searching for tips, but I call it top-notch customer service. Morrissey's will have our business as long as we live in the area!

Review - My husband and I moved last weekend using Morrissey’s Moving Company. The movers were all professional, nice and quick! They took great care moving our belongings and put our furniture just where we wanted it when we got to our new place. When booking my move Helen was extremely courteous. Due to closing issues on new construction our closing date was delayed and I had to reschedule our move. Helen was very understanding and took care of getting new parking permits to allow the truck to park in front of our building in Hoboken.
We highly recommend Morrissey’s. The price and the service can not be matched. While we hope to stay put for in our new home for a long time, when we have to move again - we will call on Morrissey’s!

Review - Morrissey's did a great job moving us from Hoboken to Union City. Although they were a little late, once they got there, they were quick! The movers were polite, professional, and took excellent care of our belongings, including packing up our 50 in. plasma with extra care. When booking our reservation, Helen was courteous and took care of getting parking permits for the truck to park in front of our building in Hoboken! I highly recommend using their service! They were quick and easy to make a reservation with, have reasonable rates, and while other moving companies told me to call the Parking Authority myself, it was a big plus Helen took care of that for us in Hoboken!

Review - These guys are wonderful. We hit a huge obstacle during the move - my couch was too big to make it over the banister and into my new apartment. They tried every way possible to get my couch inside, but the situation seemed hopeless. Finally, the president of the company himself showed up, stopped the clock, and tried out a number of new ways to get my couch in. Long story short, they got my couch into my apartment and didn't charge me for all the extra time it took them to do it. They were very professional, friendly, and extremely determined. I recommend Morrisey's to everyone I know. Really fantastic.

Review - Morrissey helped me move from Jersey City to Franklin Park about 2 weeks back. Review - I wanted to thank you all for the great job you did to help me move from Manhattan to Hoboken yesterday. Helen, Larry, Walter and Lee, you are the top gun professionals. I was with a broker while the three guys were doing their job. My broker (Japanese) was very impressed with the job- he said How did you find this moving company? They do a great job. Their blankets are very clean. It's hard to find a moving company like this one... When we saw my 'not so expensive' sofa wrapped up like a mummy, he asked for a business card. Good sign!
I was expecting another delivery later on, and realized that I did not have enough cash for a tip. It's a little embarrassing, but enclosed please find a check for additional tip for Larry, Walter and Lee. Please make sure that these guys get these additional tips. Please divide the check amount evenly to three guys.

Review - Morrissey helped me moved to Hoboken from Parsippany last Sat. and it went very fast, easy and smooth. Walter, Larry and the rest of the crew arrived on time and worked very quickly to load the truck. They also brought pads and other packing material (all free) and wrap up the TV, mattress and other furnitures to make sure everything arrived clean and in great shape. Everyone was very helpful and responsive to my requests. (The company even went to city hall the week before and made sure they reserved parking in front of my building.) The final price was also very very reasonable and were no extra hidden charges. Overall one of my best moving experiences ever. Thanks guys!!!!

Review - Had a fantastic experience with Morrisseys. We were moving from Northern New Jersey to Long Island and they had us in and out (including the drive) in just six hours. They showed up on time, didn't break or lose a thing, and charged us exactly what they said they would. Review - I cannot say enough about Morrissey's and how great they are. This is my second time using them and I will never use another company. When I moved into my apt 2 years ago I said I hoped I got the same guys working on my move when I moved out. I didn't but these guys were just as great. My move took 9 hours and I moved into an apt in Manhattan with the craziest landlady you have ever known. She harassed us the entire time and these guys were so nice about it - even hugged me when I got upset. Nothing was broken or scratched and I have a lot of delicate antique furniture. AND when the crazy landlady would not let me remove the apt door to fit the couch in, Morrissey's let me keep it in their office until I could figure out what to do with it. They are hands down the best movers I've ever used and I have moved 6 times in the last 10 years!

Review - It was 8:30pm the night before a 8am move from Hoboken to Princeton. My original movers (not Morrissey)call me to say their truck broke down and could not accomodate my move but could do so maybe Sunday and probably Monday. Message left at 10pm for Morrissey, frantically looking for another option. 7:30am rolls around, Morrissey calls me up and says they can do it. We are IN BUSINESS!!!
Cannot say how great of an experience we had. Franky and his crew took great care of us and got us loaded up and moved. They were very friendly and were very nice to my 2 daughters.
Pricing wise, we were scared because we were between a rock and a hard place. All in all, the bill came out the same, if not a little lower than we had expected.
Let us not forget Helen who is their dispatcher as well as the one who called us back. She kept us informed about the whole process as well as actually quite plesant!
Bottom line, our family is very impressed and would highly recommend Morrissey's Moving Company. Thanks Helen, Franky and the rest of the crew at Morrissey...

Review - I called in on late in the week at 4:30 to schedule a move for Sunday. Not only did the company representative make it to the Hoboken Parking offices to secure parking permits for Sunday but the job was done under the estimated hours.

Review - We just moved from Hoboken to Bergen County. After some research, I found Morrissey's to have the best price by far. They start at a $300/hour minimum; our total came to $350 (we didn't have a ton to move). Some places provided estimates for $500 to $600 with a $400 minimum. Morrissey's arranged for parking in front of my building two days before the move.
The final cost was very close to the estimate. After 3 hours they work on a 15-minute basis instead of per hour (other companies were on a $100 hour to hour charge).

Review - I recently used Morrissey's Moving Company for a long distance move from New York to North Carolina. They were the most professional, well organized movers I have ever used. I have moved over 6 times in the last 10 years with movers and it is usually a very stressful experience. In fact, in my move prior to this one the movers showed up at 2am with my stuff 11 days late. This move was not stressful at all! Helen in the office answered all my questions ahead of the move. The Morrissey’s movers showed exactly when I expected them. Review - I lived in Hudson county (Weehawken and Hoboken) for nine years and moved five times. I regret that I didn’t find this moving company until I moved out to Morris County. Our movers were phenomenal! Jamal, Jamie, Karl and Neal were the fastest, most polite and careful movers I’ve ever used. Review - We got an estimate from another moving company, but felt it was grossly inflated. I saw one of Morrissey's trucks in Hoboken shortly after and ecided to give them a call. They came that week and gave an estimate. Their estimate was $400 LESS than our origingal moving company. To make a long story short, they came and moved our stuff within the time frame they said, AND the price they said. Even though it rained all day, everything was in great condition and the 2 movers were great. Their names were Walter and Eric, and they were easy going and considerate. Review - My wife and I moved from our apt to Madison, NJ at the beginning of January, 2008. I never write a review, about anyone or anything. Morrissey Moving Company is the exception. Now mind you, I have nothing to gain and I am in no way affiliated with them. So, let's begin...
Ralph Morrissey arrived at our apt several weeks before our scheduled move to do a walk through and survey the premises. He was very professional and considerate. He gave me a VERY accurate quote and recommended I add more to my move (extra boxes could accommodate his truck and stay within our estimate as opposed to me taking them by car).
On our moving day, he provided us a large truck and four excellent, courteous, professional movers. No joke, in the first 4 minutes alone, they moved 1/5th of all of our items! Pros. They left nothing but dust bowls and screws and one hour later...we were on the road.
Stunned, I drove to my new home. Shortly thereafter, the movers arrived and carefully brought every item in. They repeated the processes again for our second move the following weekend. Jamal, Jamie, Walter and Neil were wonderful to work with and we thank them for their excellent service. I was honored to serve them lunch after both moves and we tipped them well.
Moral of the story...if you have to move...go with Morrisseys. They will give you an accurate estimate both in terms of time and money and you will know your items are in good hands. Our's were.

The moving truck had to drive 3 1/2 hrs. and onto a ferry to Block Island, deliver furniture and catch another ferry back. Review - This is my second review of Morrissey's. Cut to the chase: you'd be crazy to use anyone else. My first move last February was fabulous: it was completed in less time and less expensive than estimated. Now it was time to get my stuff out of storage and into our new apt, which is a fourth floor walkup. We have a lot of heavy furniture, a few antiques, many heavy boxes of books and kitchen gear, and none of it slowed them down. Stacey and his crew are the most professional and personable guys you'll ever work with-- they somehow are incredibly fast and incredibly careful at the same time. Every piece got up the stairs in perfect shape, brought to the correct room and carefully put in place without one nick on new hardwood floors. And you'll never work with nicer guys; they actually make moving fun. I then needed a smaller, second move last week, and Frankie and his crew completed a 150-mile roundtrip with the same results: extremely careful, amazingly quick, and everything arrived ahead of schedule. Not even traffic on the Pulaski can slow these guys down. Best of all, working with Helen in the office is effortless-- she makes scheduling easy, handles all the details, and last minute changes are never a problem. Bottom line: three moves with Morrissey, three moves that were finished on-time and on- (or under) budget, and there wasn't a single extra charge for a special kind of box or any other nonsense. Morrissey's flat out gives better customer service than just about any company I've ever dealt with. On a scale of 1-50, these guys are definitely 51.

Review - Morrissey's was great - on time, very courteous, careful but FAST! Even when the guys had difficultly parking their large truck on my small street, they remained friendly and professional. Shortly after my move, when my washer/dryer bit the dust, and the sanitation department informed me that I needed to find a way to leave it on the curb, I called on Morrissey once more, and for a very reasonable price they helped me out again. Review - I purchased a desk from a woman who was getting ready to move. I went over to her apartment to get the desk and at the same time Mr. Morrissey was there to discuss the moving process with her. He offered to help me carry the desk downstairs and then even helped me get it back to my apartment a few blocks away. Review - First off, I would like to thank Helen, Ralph, and the crew of movers (big props to Jamal and Stacey). This is my second move with Morrissey after receiving a recommendation from a company that has used Morrissey for years. They moved me back to Boston almost two years ago and back from Boston to NYC last week. For the move to Boston, the company understood how I was moving into a heavily secured police area near the state capital and Ralph came along to make sure there were no issues. They had to park the truck away from the apartment building to appease the police, but they were quick, efficient, and made sure not to complain once about the inconvenience. They had a great attitude. When it was time to move back from Boston, they received my call again. They were able to load my one bedroom quickly and drove back to NYC in the same day. They unloaded all my belongings without breaking a single thing! Review - We had a great move with Morrissey, I found the team to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We have had several bad moves in the past, that were mostly due to the inadequette moving companies that we have hired, with Morrissey it almost made us not dread moving. Ralph the owner and his team were amazing, we only hired them the night before the move as we felt the original moving company we got were taking us for a ride. My move ended up taking longer than he estimated and he still only charged me the estimated price. The movers where quick, organized, and very kind. Review - The difference between Morrissey's Movers and the other companies I've tried in the past was almost $500, and several hours.
I didn't even want to hire movers, because my past experiences had been so frustrating and expensive. I don't have THAT much stuff. But there would be extra charges for boxes and then the movers would get lost for a long time (on the clock), and somehow the moves always ended up costing twice what I'd budgeted.
I hired Morrissey's based on the positive reviews here and was not disappointed. They treated me well even though I only had a 5x10 storage unit full of furniture and boxes. They didn't complain that it was a 4th story walkup. And they finished in 2.5 hours, including a stop at my garage. I will definitely be callingn Morrissey's again when I move out.

Review - I moved during Noreaster 2007 from Westfield, NJ to Hoboken, NJ. Although the guys showed up an hour later due to the weather, they got started right away and had my one bedroom apartment on the truck in 45 min. It then took them about 45 min to unload the truck in Hoboken. The guys were great, including helping to broom out the water that was in my kitchen because of the storm. Review - Kudos to Morrisey's--these guys are real pros (in a town with more than its share of fly-by-night operators). After a dispiriting move from the UWS to JC two years ago, I did my homework in hiring a mover to relocate within JC (from rental to condo.) Happy to report that Morrisey's was top notch from start to finish. Importantly, the estimate was very close to the ACTUAL PRICE (no bait-and-switch). The team of 4 movers arrived right on time, expertly applied protective blankets and wrap where needed and then did a yeoman's job of carefully transporting some truly gargantuan furniture up 3 flights of stairs. Review - Review - I was very skeptical at first, because I had been given several other estimates by moving company's who claimed that their prices weren't hidden and that was the reason for their high costs. Review - We could not have been any more pleased with Morrissey Movers. In fact, this was the first time that a move went completely smooth and without incident...which, dramatically, made the entire moving process less stressful. The movers were all polite and very careful. Ralph's estimate was right on the money and NO HIDDEN FEES/CHARGES!!! We will definitely use Morrissey for our future moves.

Review - They moved our storgae unit's contents from Hoboken to Massachusetts. Gave fair price compared with other Hoboken-based companies, arrived to pack up and to unload exactly on time, and were exceptional with their customer service and attention to detail. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Review - First off, I wish i could give a higher score than 50. Alright, let's get to the nitty gritty. I moved from Hoboken to Long Island. I have never, in ANY line of professional service, whether it be a doctor, travel agent, tailor, etc dealt with a more professional, courteous, efficient, and satisfying firm than Morrissey Movers. Every facet of the service was amazing. From the first call to the helpful Helen, to the honest and expert estimate by Ralph, the excellent, friendly, and efficient service offered by the moving team. These guys were fast, and TOTALLY professional. The moving team would not hear of me just picking up a small box. they'd smile and tell me to sit back and relax. Stacy, the supervisor, had everything running smooth and sharp. The guy is expert. I moved my things to storage, and Stacy arranged everything superbly. I had a lot of room left for future storage. His crew, James, Al, and Jamal were so damn good, they knew exactly what to do, and treated my things as if they were the owners. The fact that they were likable and nice is also a plus. If you get this crew, you are in great hands. Ralph runs a tight and fair ship, hop aboard and sit back, let the superstars of moving (pros isn't good enough) take care of you.

Review - We just moved from Hoboken to Boston and were absolutely thrilled with Morrissey. With less than 2 weeks notice, Ralph came by our condo, told us exactly what to expect, how many boxes we would need, etc., he showed up on time and everything went perfectly. There were no surprises. Ralph is reliable, dependable, professional and above all, a geniunely decent and great guy who we trusted with all of our worldly possessions. We highly, highly recommend him--he is the best.

Review - I have moved 7 times in the last 4 years and this was by far the BEST experience I have had!! Morrissey's Moving Company was wonderful to work with. They handled every single detail and made the entire experience a breeze. They came EARLY which is like unheard of for movers and completed my job in record time! All of my stuff was wrapped before going into the truck and all of my things were handled with care. These guys really care about what they do and I would recommend them to everyone I know!!

Review - We used Morrissey's Movers for a local move in Jersey City and couldn't be happier with the choice we made. These guys are the exception to the rule you get what you pay for. Not only were they the lowest quote I received from over a dozen other companies, but they were also the most professional, friendly and careful movers I have ever dealt with. We have a huge sectional sofa, big plasma TV and two expensive Italian road bikes which were handled with the utmost care. The guys showed up 10 minutes early and hustled from the jump. They managed to finish in less than the estimated time, even though they had to park 50 yards down the street thanks to someone removing the No Parking signs we had posted 2 days prior in our new neighborhood. If you use any other moving company, you're a fool!

Review - I used Morrissey's to move from Hoboken to Old Bridge. Ralph Morrissey came to give the estimate so that he could see how many extra boxes I would need, etc. I was supplied with free boxes (2 wardrobe, 2 large photo frame, 5 small). They also came with mattress covers. They showed up exactly on time (early actually) and worked extremely quickly and carefully. Stacy and his co-worker were extremely polite, quick and careful. I was charged exactly what I was quoted. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! In fact we are going to use them when we move out of storage in 6 months when we move into our new house.

Review - I cannot say enough good things about Morrissey's Moving Company. We hired them to move us from Jersey City to Belleville, with a stop at a storage unit in Livingston on the way. There was some confusion at first because the estimate had a Jersey City address typed on it, but it was straightened out right away. The crew was on-time, courteous and professional. All of our boxes, furniture and possessions were handled with as much (or more) care as we would have used ourselves. The estimate of hours was on the dot, and the final bill was exactly what was estimated, no hidden fees or charges. We are DEFINITELY going to use Morrissey's again and recommend them to all of our friends.

Review - I used Morrissey's to move locally in Hoboken after getting a number of estimates. Not only did they have the best estimate (with free boxes thrown in) but when Ralph Morrissey came to give the estimate, he put me completely at ease. They showed up exactly on time and worked extremely quickly, but carefully. I moved into a third floor walkup and have a very big couch. They spent time to figure out the best way to get the couch up and through the doors. I thought it was impossible and I think anyone else would have given up but they got it up there with no damage. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

Review - We recently sold the home we had lived in for 46 years and hired Morrissey's to move us. It was a very big job! (you can imagine what we accummulated over 46 years!). Morrissey's personnel were polite, hard working and reliable. They made a very upsetting experience pleasant. Our job took 18 hours and they stuck with it right to the end. We were sleeping in our new home that very night. If I ever had to move again Morrissey's Moving would be my mover. If your're going to move, my advice is - Use Morrissey's Movers!

Review - I just used Morrissey's to move from the Upper West Side of Manhattan to Hoboken and the move went smoother than I ever could have imagined. I was a little late scheduling, only leaving a week before I wanted to move, but they had no problem accomodating the date I wanted. Review - Just before Christmas 2005, we had completed our new kitchen remodel. The appliances (professional grade) never seem as big in the store until they are delivered to the house. Of course the kitchen wasn't ready for the delivery so items were stored in the garage and living room. We needed to move them to the kitchen, a short distance with lots of turns. Ralph's company accepted the job. They arrived on time, professionally dressed, and polite. They went right to it and moved our appliances in without a scratch any where. Review - I used Morrissey's to move from Boston to Jersey City, NJ, and the price they
quoted was the price I paid, 1500 something (less than 1600 definitely) and
tipped 110 (25 to each mover the first they when they picked up in Boston, and
30 to each mover the second they when they delivered).
Riccardo and Stacy did an excellent job. I think they only spent 2 hours to load
the truck in Boston and then 2 hours to unload in Jersey City, but I didn't
complain because they did a great job. They were prompt when they arrived since
that was a big concern as the place I was moving into required the freight
elevators be reserved in advance (and had 3 hour slots).
I highly recommend them, the price was accurate, the two movers who came were

Review - We just used Morrissey's for a move from Hoboken. They showed up at 9:00 a.m. on the dot, and hustled to get the move done on estimate and on time. We were moving from a 3rd floor walk up to a house and although it took them longer to load the truck than they thought, they hustled on the back end to get done on time, and set us up in our new home. Everything was delivered on time, and in its original condition.

Review - I had orginally hired movers from NYC, you may have seen the signs around Hoboken - $18 per hour, per man. I scheduled them 3 weeks prior to the move. They ended up not showing up so on the day of. I called Morrissey at 7:00pm and they came right over and charged me a reasonable price. The guys were super nice and I realize I just should have gone with them in the first place.

Review - MORRISSEY’S MOVING CO. ROCKS! I recently moved from a fifth floor walk-up apartment (that I had been in for a dozen years, tons of stuff) to a basement apartment a few blocks away. I called several movers most of whom charged for every little thing (35 bucks per framed print, per floor surcharge, leather furniture wrapping charge etc.). When I called Morrissey’s they gave me a flat, hourly rate for a three-man crew: NO HIDDEN COSTS, NO EXTRA FEES, NO OVERTIME CHARGE. The three guys showed up on time and went right to work. They were careful and efficient and finished the job well within the estimated time.
I highly recommend Morrissey’s Moving Co. as a professional and cost effective moving solution. Oh and one tip: if you can, request Jamal be on your team. That guy knows how to get a job done.

Review - We contracted with Morrissey’s Moving for a local move. Ralph showed up on time, with a clean, polite and expert moving team. They worked continuously for 16 hours (exactly the estimated time) and moved everything (including a “baby” grand piano and extensive antique furniture) by wrapping and protecting all belongings. Further, Ralph followed-up and helped us move items inside the new house. We will use Morrissey’s for future moves.
