Review - I bought a dress online that I'd ordered last minute for a wedding in Puerto Rico. When it came it didn't fit! I ran to my dry cleaners (who were just down the street)for an opinion and the lady wanted over $100 just to add an inch around the bust (it was a strapless dress from J. Crew and the bust was too small but the waist was fine). I told her thanks but if I was going to pay that much I'd rather go to Yvonne, who I always ask to alter my clothes. She and her partner completely opened my dress, added boning for support, tailored it to fit me like a glove around the waist, and actually made it a better dress than it was. For less than the dry cleaner, who wanted $100 just to add an inch of fabric! Did I mention I ran over there and needed it the next day? And they stayed up late to fix it for me?
They're wonderful. Both my sisters go there and we always have the highest quality alterations with the best shop owners in Hoboken who never forget a face. They also did an amazing job with my sister's bridesmaid dresses for my wedding. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Review - Best tailor in Hoboken and a secret find in the NYC area.
In the past, I've had a few bad experiences at places including Saks. Somehow, I got introduced to Italmoda Custom Tailoring and Yvonne. She's so sweet and patient. She works hard to make her clients happy. She's been around a while and she respects her craft. Her honesty is appreciated - even if I was told that one time to return a pair of skinny jeans.
My suits fit perfectly! From the CK, Boss and Armani to the Seven for Mankind jeans, they were altered and exactly what I wanted. Admittedly, I'm not an easy person to please. Her expertise and craftsmanship are top-notch.
Plus Yvonne is always a pleasure to talk to.

Review - I have used Yvonne for everything from hems and cuffs to the complete remake of vintage dresses and have always found everything to be perfectly done. I appreciate her cando; when a garment is not worth fixing, she says so. Now she has helped me avoid a disaster by altering a strapless dress with a beaded waistband which arrived in the wrong size! Done on time, at reasonable cost in time for my daughter's prom! I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

Review - Ludwina was charming from the moment I called her, to the moment I walked in, to the moment I picked up my clothes. Her customer service is exceptional. I had two shirts that had been sitting in my trunk and had black marks all over them. She told me she'd try to dryclean them. If the marks came out, she'd tailor them. If not - I owed her nothing. They came out and the shirts are perfect ! I had a skirt that I wanted to fix, but she was honest with me - told me the fabric wouldn't do what I wanted. The other items she tailored are flawless and beautiful and fit me perfectly. She called me to update me on the progress and whereas she had originally quoted me over a week (on Tuesday,) she was done with everything by Sunday morning. I will definitely be going back - I will be recommending her to everyone.

Review - As you can read from everyone else's reviews, there is just no one better than Italamoda at tailoring. The quality of Yvonne's work is second to none, but more importantly, the level of customer service she provides...well, you just can't find it any more. She really does make you feel like family. Most people dread going to the tailor on the weekends, I have to say it was always a pleasure. I have recently had to relocate back to Texas due to my career and one of the things I will miss most is Yvonne and her keen eye for detail and incredible customer service. Do yourself a favor, quit looking for a tailor...you found the best in Yvonne!

Review - Expert tailoring with friendly service. I took a suit here to be tailored for a wedding in Costa Rica. She measured me quickly and consulted with me about my requested changes. Rather than pushing me to do more work (more money for her) she actually encouraged me to do less work on the suit (less money for her). I wanted the pleats removed (a costly endeavor) and she told me that based on the cost of the suit and the timing for my trip it was not worth it. I really admire a business that looks out for the best interests of their customers and not just $$$. This was my first experience with Italmoda and it wont be my last. The suit was ready to go ahead of schedule and she even stayed open late so I could pick it up after work. The best part came when I got a call from her a week after I returned from my trip. She had heard about recent earthquakes in Costa Rica and just wanted to see if I was safe. What amazing customer service!!! I am an Italmoda customer for life.

Review - Highly recommend for Hoboken. Excellent service and skilled. I brought a pair of raw selvedged 19cm Dior Jeans for alterations and they did an excellent job taking them in and making them 17cm. Exactly what I wanted, fair priced ($35 for my jeans).

Review - Italmoda is my tailor of choice. Yvonne is a pleasure to deal with, and her work borders between superb and excellent. She is very flexible and is always willing to negotiate pick-up times that would work for both sides. Even though she is obviously busy with other customers, you always get the feeling that she will manage to find time for you. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a quality tailor job.

Review - I can not judge their job or price because I didn't get to use their service. They might be good at tailoring Men's suits. However, I think it worths to mention to all the ladies that unfortunately they don't do jobs for women's special dresses by themselves and you'll need to make an appointment with limited available time slots with a friend of theirs.

Review - After trying several other Hoboken tailors with less than satisfactory results, I was pleased to find Italmoda. From Hugo Boss, Armani, Versace, and John Varvatos they have always done an exemplary job - even for some suits that have not fit as well as they should off the rack. They know clothes, and the customer service is great. Worth the investment, I would not go anywhere else. Yvonne is great.

Review - Italmoda is the best tailoring service I've ever been to. I went to another place down the street from Italmoda and they did a bad job on some pants I needed refitted. I'm not a tailor and I knew it was bad. Anyway, I went to Italmoda to see if they could fix them. They were honest with me and told me to get rid of some of them because they were beyond recovery. They took two pairs that were recoverable and did an amazing job. They made me try on the pants each time I came in, and would not let me take them until they were 100% ok with how they looked. One of the tailors came in on a Saturday and Sunday morning just to work on my pants and to make sure they fit correctly. I was blown away by this. I honestly won't go anywhere else from this point forward.

Review - Yvonne is fantastic. I have taken several pairs of expensive jeans and pants to be shortened and/or altered by her. She does an excellent job with my jeans, always sewing the original hem back on (noone can tell). She also always has them ready whenever I need them. Make sure to take the right pair of shoes though because I have come back with one pair of pants that were a bit short ( I had gotten measured while I was wearing my flats)... I do think she is a tad bit pricey but her work and her fantastic customer service are worth it.

Review - I had a rush order -- A brand new Prada suit needed to have the sleeves shortened in time for a wedding in two days. Yvonne was wonderful. The suit was ready in time and the fit was perfect. All for a very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to use Italmoda again.

Review - After reading tons of good reviews on this site, I brought a pair of pants to Italmoda for a really simple alteration. The pants did not come out correctly (still too big and the waist is now bunching). The women is very nice, however I will not be back.

Review - I just had a pair of pants that were way to big around the waist taken in at Italmoda. I was in, sized, and out in no more than 10 min., my pants were ready the earliest day promised, the price was very good/affordable, and the pants fit me perfectly (a FEAT for someone with my j-lo butt and tiny waist). I didn't even have to put them on until I got home - she is confident in her work - rightfully so - and pleasant. I'm beyond impressed.

Review - I brought in a bridesmaid dress that needed major tailoring. Frank remade the bust of the dress from scratch (including boning) and it fits perfectly! The pricing was very reasonable and I will go back for all my tailoring needs. Yvonne and Frank are both very friendly and will schedule appointments according to your availability, even weekday nights!

Review - They are absolutely amazing. They literally saved me from the wrath of my brother's now wife. They were able to reconstruct a horrible bridesmaid's dress that was two sizes too small with zero seam allowance. The best part is they did it in days. As in a day before I had to leave for the wedding. The quality of the work was amazing. I would have paid them five times what they charged me for the magic they worked.

Review - This is why I moved here from Manhattan! I found Italmoda on this site, and took a chance. I had a great time, got great service and learned a bunch about the fit of a suit. This is a real old-school, neighborhoody tailor shop (and definitely smoke-free) - they were smart and warm, funny, personable, very experienced and professional. I'll definitely be going back (and I'm coming all the way from Edgewater).
