Review - I have been going to Dawn for a little over a year and she is fabulous! I get blonde highlights and a cut every 2 months and she always gets it right! I've had people ask me where I go in the city to get my great highlights because Dawn's work is amazing!!! I did a lot of research on salons and tried a few places when I first moved to Hoboken a year and a half ago and Dawn is the BEST!

Review - Dawn is the best hair stylist I've EVER had. I used to live in Hoboken where I first met Dawn. I have since moved but still come back to get my hair done by Dawn, regardless of where I live. I've been her client for 4 years and cant recommend her highly enough. Whenever I'm at that point with my hair where I hate the way I look - after an hour with Dawn I'm back to feeling beautiful again. THANK YOU DAWN - you miracle worker!!!

Review - After years of overpriced Manhattan haircuts, I finally gave Bangz a try and was more than pleasantly surprised. The reviews here are consistent and accurate. I was able to schedule a same day appointment on a weekend with Angela. Not only did she give me a fabulous, appropriate haircut, she did it efficiently and got me in and out of the salon in under 45 minutes. I'm thrilled with the cut and getting great compliments. Review - If you want great color or highlights make an appointment with Adrianne. I've been going to her for years and she's fantastic! She listens to what you want and then cuts and styles exactly like that. When she went on maternity leave I tried a salon in the city, but it doesn't compare. Adrianne is the best!

Review - Went to Bangz on these recommendations/reviews of Dawn. Wow. She's the best. Easy to talk to, takes one look at you and you walk out of there with one the best haircuts you've had in years. Gave my fine hair some shape and movement. Couldn't believe it.

Review - I just got back from my cut and blowdry with Kyle. I am thrilled with the haircut. He took his time and didn't rush through the appointment which was nice. He was very friendly and I will definately return for my next cut. Extremely reasonable price too since I'm on a budget. :)

Review - Dawn at Bangz Salon is by far the styling world's most valuable undiscovered gem. This stylist should be working full time for celebrities - she's that good. I just moved to Hobo and didn't know where to go for a good cut so I went online and read over 200 reviews for at least 15 salons.
The majority of great reviews I read were all for Dawn at Bangz, so I made an appointment. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately by Dawn and from that moment she put me at ease. She has a great way about her - she's open and friendly and funny but not too much so.
We talked for a few minutes about what I wanted to do with my chest length, pin straight hair and she was positive and encouraging. 30 minutes later, I had the most amazing hair cut ala Victoria Beckham. My hair looks stunning and not only that, the cut itself is impeccable.
I can't say enough about Dawn - she's unbelievable. I would've paid $150.00 for this haircut... I was SHOCKED when the receptionist announced that it would be $25!! Seriously - what a deal!
Go see Dawn - make an appointment and I swear you'll be thrilled with the results!

Review - I had been wanting to get my hair highlighted, but was intimidated with New York City prices. I received a gift certificate to BANGZ, and very reluctantly went in to get my highlights done. Normally, I would not go to a salon that doesn't accept appointments to get color done, but I decided I would bite the bullet and give this place a try (since I had the gift certificate, wanted color badly, and could not afford it elsewhere). I was so pleased with my highlights, and I will definetely go back. This proves that you don't have to spend a fortune to get great color and a great stylist who is honest and is not interested in seeing you spend a fortune. The sylists were honest and great overall. Don't expect a snooty, high-priced experience at this place! What you can expect is attentive and great service!

Review - Dawn is my first choice of hair stylist in Hoboken, N.J. I have seen about 8 different stylists over the last 5 years and Dawn is the only one I keep returning to, for both cuts and highlights. She manages to create a fuller, shaplier hair-do from even my baby-fine hair, which is a feat. She's receptive to my requests/ideas and constructive with feedback. Another good thing about Bangz: the $14 wash/cut special.

Review - After going to the same hairdresser for 17 years, I was nervous to switch. I read through all of Kannekt.com and decided to go w/ dawn at bangz. She did an absolutely phenomenal job that complimented my face beautifully. She's quick too. I was washed cut and dried w/in 40 minutes. Review - Dawn is the best!!! I stopped in a/b a yr ago, and only asked for a trim since I didn't know Dawn yet. She convinced me to let her give me a better cut and since then I wouldn't go to anyone else. I have spent $100+ on haircuts and they don't compare with her cuts (only $40 w/blowdry or $30 without). Bangz isn't so nice and Dawn is unassuming so you wouldn't necessarily realize how good she is, but give her a try.

Review - Bangz good for kidz cutz. Took my 2-year-old son there for a much needed trim to his curly hair. They have a small cubicle with a video monitor. The child can watch TV, thereby eliminating fear and wiggling. Haircut was decent (better than I can do at home) and inexpensive; child gets balloon.

Review - I used this website to help me locate a salon in the area. After reading the reviews I thought what the heck and gave Bang Z a try. I am very particular about blowouts because I have curly hair and have had many dissapointing experiences. Dawn at Bang Z did a beautiful job and is extremely talented. She asked me first how I like it to look and then executed leaving my hair full and voluminous as well as shiny. Dawn was very personable and eager to please. I would definately return to have Dawn style my hair.

Review - I was going to a beauty salon in the City for eight years but, when I moved to Hoboken I didn't know what to do. Fortunately, I met a girl in New York Sports Club, whose hair looked just beatiful. She told me to go to see Nelly at Banz Salon and I'm her client for almost a year. For the great results in her job I highly recomend her. She has the patience to take care of every sigle strand of my hair. Nelly is exellent as a hairdresser and as a person too.

Review - When I first started going here, I was satisfied, perhaps because the last haircut I got before going to Bangz was a disaster and the cut left with was an improvement. But after a while, it apparently became difficult to get across what I wanted--even when I finally came in with pictures that I drew myself. Needless to say, when I got home I was as confused by the haircut I just got, because it was very choppy in the back, and didn't look like what I took the time to draw. Because I was so explicit, I wondered, maybe she had a bad day, or maybe she doesn't like listening to what clients have to say, or follow through with what they want. Big red X for that. Haircutting is part craft, and part customer service, so without that, artistry and talent mean nothing. Who wants to be stuck with a haircut they don't like?
