the ptacs are suppost to drain there condensate out of the building its been that way since day one just like most building they are all the same

Read the manual. The exhasut fan is supposed to evaporate the condensate out from the drip pan. Believe me, nothing is supposed to be squirting out onto my balcony.

most of the water coming down is not ptac. at least in our case, it's just people pouring out water. i've had water thrown down into our balcony that smelled like a pet was just washed in it, complete w/the hair...or water that smelled like cleaning chemicals.

you are very wrong on mild humid days the water will evaporate in the pan but on very hot and espeacially humid days the water will drain out because it cannot evaporate it that quick its been like that since day one all units do this please educate yourself

well then mine is not working properly because I've never had that much water come out of it. i'm talking about a lot of water, all at once as if poured out of a bucket. that's why i said 'in our case' .... it was not PTAC related I am sure of it.

Same old issue, air conditioners are on and now my balcony is wet. Every summer Im told the issue is being addressed.
