To #21, it depends on which layout you bought. I bought a 1BR in the 02 line (the corner units facing north). I know that an 02 unit on the 35th floor will be priced today at $575K at the sales office. These units are 837 sq ft large with partial view of river.

570,000 on the 8th floor! Wow...you must be paying for the terrace cause it is at a low level. Is your 1 bedroom facing New York?

The resale value may be good due to that terrace but will you be able to barbeque?

the 1-BR unit itself is 837 sq. ft. i've already been told that i can use a charcoal BBQ, not to mention place patio furniture out at will. i just can't add any exterior fixtures, for obvious reasons.

for a 400 sq. ft. terrace, i couldn't resist. the price per square foot comes it to a nice deal with a lot of upside.

Well if you can barbeque and lay out patio furniture then its a great deal! In the summertime especially and also for the parties. I guess only a small number of units will have the patio so demand should increase for them.

Does anyone have the latest figures on sales?

Thanks.

ours is the one facing south. I thought all the units were sold out. do you know what % has left to be sold?

I am confused...what are you getting at? Did you buy a unit?

I paid 507,000 for an 837 sf unit on the 02 section (north). Comes to $605 per square foot which seems reasonable for the area. It is at a higher floor too (above 15th). Does sound like anyone else has bought for this price, but I bought 2 weeks after the units went on sale. I think they have increased!

$537k for a 1BR here with blocked views is too much when 2 BRs across the street are in the $500s, especially if your unit doesn't have any outdoor space. I think it's better to forget about the Trump name and pay closer to $500 a foot in a different building or maybe a little more and get real views.

let me preface this by saying sorry for going on the defense, but...

when it's all said and done, trump plaza will end up as one of the best investments (both for the short and long term) on the Jersey City Gold Coast... people who are buying units now at pre-construction prices will be seeing nice appreciations by 2008, not to mention further demand once the tower is finally completed.

buying at trump plaza is analogous to so many other investments out there... people would much rather drive a Mercedes than a Saturn... stay at the Waldorf over the Raddison. eat at Peter Luger's over Outback.

talk garbage over the brand name all you want, but perpetual, long lasting quality is what you will get in a trump building. so stop comparing trump's prices to other buildings that aren't even on the same playing field.
