Review - Great place to bring friends -- lots of creative drink options and reasonably priced food for the hungry! Ask for the menu and three pages of it are filled with drink options -- wine, one or two ice cream drinks, a variety of margaritas, and a slew of flavored martinis (FYI to you beer drinkers, I was so enamored with the mixed drink selection I didn't even look at the beer options, so I can't comment on them). I've been there twice in two weeks with different groups of friends (four one time, five the next) and both times at least one person's menu was missing the page containing the martini list. I know why -- the martini drink list is so impressive, even we discussed becoming walking off with it! I love a bar that's so creative with the drinks that I don't have to order just a beer (last resort). What is also great about Gaslight is that if anyone in your party is hungry, good food can be had at extremely good prices (just beware that the kitchen closes around 11 PM). I've seen some reviews complain about the food, but if you go in thinking it's a bar first, restaurant second, you won't be dissapointed. Also, you don't have to stand in the bar, we got seated in a nice, private booth in the middle room the first time I dined there, and at our own table in the back room the second time. This is definitely a place that is alive and promoting themselves -- the weeknight specials are evident enough. Even though I have never been there during one of their weeknight specials (I paid full price, but even then I can't complain about $8 for the Gaslight martini loaded with lots of chocolate liquors!) I still like associating with a place that has them, it is so much better than a business that assumes customers will always be around and never changes. One last thing -- they validate parking at the Midtown Garage one block away. Highly recommended.

Review - The atmosphere is very relaxing. Low lit. Good food. Fabulous staff. I have had the same waiter twice. Very personable. If I had more money, I would be in there all the time. I recommend it.

Review - I love this place...both the food and the bar are great. The menu offers a wide variety of items, and you actaully get a full plate of food. Cozy atmosphere, off the beaten path and service has always been great... waiters and bartenders are so friendly. Can't go wrong with this place!

Review - I was amazed by the whole shbang.
The scenario:
We entered the place; were greeted by the manager as we entered the restaurant area, had excellent service from start to finish, and food was: prompt, hot, very tasty, plentiful, and well presented.
We both ordered chicken dishes (mine was a special) hers was the Chicken Sorrentino. Apptz. were fresh Mozz and tomatoes, hers was the Baked Clams. Both were wicked good. Had the Chocolate Lava for dessert…wow. Unreal.
I usually tip 10% - 20% depending on many things. I actually tipped 25% that night. I have never done that before.

We both ordered chicken dishes (mine was a special)

Review - Best wings I've ever had in my life, and that includes Dinosaur BBQ in the city (if you haven't eaten there you have too). But get them during football season - so cheap.

Review - Great food and service. The bar during the week was ok..maybe a jukebox would spice things up at night. I do enjoy their drink and food specials. They do a well job with providing the customers with a variety of choices.

Review - My friend and I went there last night. I think it was way too dark in there and extremely loud. I had to shout at my friend and I said what? several times. He made the comment that when we leave, we can actually have a conversation. The food was good and they give you a lot for the money. Service was good, esp. with the number of people there. Go for the food, but definitely don't go if you want to have a decent conversation.

Review - This was my first time visiting the gaslight and it was nothing like what I expected from seeing the outside. The inside is amazing-maybe a little bit too dark, but very romantic. Their menu includes a wonderful variety of food, so thats always nice to see. I would have to say though... the best part about our meal was the service. My boyfriend, who was sick and feeling very needy at the time, asked a lot of questions about recommendations, the way the food was prepared, etc. and the waiter was so helpful. He had just started working there (his name is Justin) and he was very helpful and a blast to have as our server! I look forward to visiting gaslight again, especially when we're both well.

Review - We have recently moved into Hoboken. Since June, we have visited numerous Chinese, Italian and American restaurants. We are very particular regarding food quality, price and especially service. The Gaslight Restaurant, by far, is surperior in all three categories. The delicious and varied menu is well complimented by the experienced, well-mannered and friendly staff. Its a MUST visit.

Review - Eight of us went from NY for the Tuesday Ladies Night deal (spend $10 on drinks-get a free entree). There were only 4 choices of entree...food was not great at all. Then we stayed for the trivia...much to our surprise proceeded to win the prize $25 off the bill and then management would not give it to us since we had paid the bill all of 10 minutes ago...IN CASH! Tried to tell us we could have $25 in shots...or in a gift certificate. So rude and unreasonable...would NEVER go back!

Review - The food was very mediocre. We had calamari to start that was like rubber and tasted fishy. My beer was skunked and when I told them they brought me another one and charged me for the skunked one that I barely sipped. My dinner was okay but nothing to brag about.
