Review - Hands down the nicest, most efficient movers I've ever dealt with and I've moved a lot! I needed to move a piano last minute from Hoboken to Brooklyn and Doug was able to accomodate my needs quickly. He is a very honest, kind person which is a quality rarely found in movers. He is also a firefigher which I found comforting as far as being trustworthy. His crew was also quite pleasant. I highly recommend L&L Movers - it will make your move less stressful b/c you won't have to worry about the actual moving day! Just an FYI - they only accept cash. I wasn't aware of this until I went to pay and luckily I had enough on me to pay the bill.

Review - Hands down the best movers I have had. Doug and the team were fast, efficient, and did a great job. They finished early and moved everything even though I had planned on doing some on my own. There were no extra or hidden charges. They even helped my new roommate's Dad move his daughters furniture into the apt. The estimate was the final price and the lowest rate I received. They came recommended by a friend at work and I could not have been happier.

Review - I used L&L to move on July 2nd and I am very happy with the experience. The crew arrived on time and did their best to move everything as quickly as possible. It took about 2 hours to pack everything up and about 2.5 hours to move it into my new apartment. There were some very difficult items to get up the stairs and they did everything they could to get them into the apartment. I even accidentally left my wallet in the back of their truck - when I called to see if they had it, they checked the truck immediately, found it, and dropped it off to me with everything still in tact. Review - Moving with L&L was a great experience. It was only a block away but they arrived on time and made the whole process simple. We had 2 extra large couches that were a challenge but these guys made it happen. They took the time to remove and re-attach my front door to make things happen. Doug showed up in the middle of the move to make sure everything was satisfactory. Highly recommended. 4 motivated movers showed up and got the job done.

Review - LL Movers were terrific. We moved from one location in Hoboken to another location in Hoboken and Doug and his crew at LL movers were professional, prompt, fast and paid attention to all the little details. We had a very large sofa that had to be lowered out the fourth floor. It was a difficult task but Doug handled it very easily. I would highly recommend LL movers.

Review - I recently used L&L for the second time in an 8 year period. They did not disappoint. On both occasions they came in under the estimate. They were timely, curteous, and professional. A marvelous attitude. They arrived on schedule, moved everything in an expedited manner, and were kind enough to help lug the caged animals into my car. Any furniture that needed to be dismantled (i.e. the bed) was done so without hesitation and reassembled in the same fashion. Hopefully I will not have to move again for a long time, but when I do, they are the movers I will call again.

Review - Mark, John and Craig were phenominal. The arrived ready to work and each had a great attitude - that makes all the difference when dealing with a service company. It was 78 degrees, I asked them to make multiple stops, I had to offer them water from soup bowls (still unpacking), and they took instructions from both my father and myself with grace : ) Hats off to you fellas. I debated which company to go with initially, and i'm so pleased with L&L - HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone who values their belongings : )

Review - I can only confirm what other here have already said about L&L. They were easily the best movers I have ever hired. Be forewarned: don't expect to have some extra time on the day of your move to pack up those last few things. These guys will arrive on time and before you know it, they will have emptied your house/apartment, whether you're ready or not. They don't take breaks, they don't complain about stairs or narrow corners, they just make it work.

Review - Doug and his team were amazing. They came right over to do the estimate when I was around and on moving day they showed up exactly when they said(7am!). The moving staff was professional and very fast. The move took less than estimated and came in exactly where they said it would cost. Doug came in to make an estimate and ended up giving me 10% off the stated price and also included 3 wardrobe boxes that others wanted to charge for. Although the quote was a little higher than others in the area the movers were great! They came on time and worked super hard to get everything out of my 4th floor walkup. They were strapping 3-4 boxes at a time to their backs to get the job done and were very nice and friendly. Everything came to my new place fully in tact. I would definitely recommend using L&L>

Review - L&L provided excellent service! Doug was very flexible. I was not able to provide him with an exact date or time that my loving truck would arrive. He did an excellent job at accommodating me at the last minute (less than 24 hours notice) to unload the truck. The men arrived on time and were extremely nice and professional. They did an excellent job unloading the items. They communicated with me the entire time about where to put the items. They worked hard and earned every minute of their time. There was no damage to my items. Doug and the men went above and beyond and accommodated a last minute request that I had to bring some of the items to another location for me. I would highly recommend L&L! They were extremely experienced, competent and customer-service focused!

Review - Just moved locally within Jersey City and couldn't have been happier with the job the guys from L&L did on a frigid December morning. The cost came right in on the lower side of Doug's estimate. They were totally accomodating when we needed to postpone the original move date last minute. The guys with the truck arrived early and went right to work, were completely professional, curteous and careful with our possessions and our walls. Hoping not to move again too soon but will call L&L again when we do.

Review - I couldn't be happier with L&L's service that L&L. On a very rainy day, the guys climbed up four flights of stairs with multiple boxes on their backs. Review - L&L moved me from Hoboken to the city and did it all in 3 hours plus an hour in commute time. I couldnt get over how fast and how hard they worked. I definitely felt more comfortable because Doug the owner was there to assist and direct the guys. My couch didnt fit in the door so they actually brought the couch in through the window for an additional fee. I would definitely use these guys again and would recommend them to anyone in the area.

Review - My wife and I just moved from Brooklyn to Jersey City and these guys were amazing. I have never seen movers be so fast and efficient, and we just moved a year ago. I would recommend them to anyone. Doug is a great guy and very friendly and professional. I cant say enough nice things about the experience and remember, we are talking about moving, which is usually one of the worst things you could do, second to going to the dentist!

Review - With just 4 days notice (for a mid-month move) we were able to book this moving company for our Hoboken to JC move. Doug quickly gave us an HONEST estimate and on the actual moving day (7) professionals showed up. BTW: they do not work on Sundays. The team had us out of the old place and into the new one in under 3 1/2 hours...and the final balance was less than the initial estimate. The team was curteous, professional and fast: simply a pleasure to work with. I'd highly recommend them.

Review - don't take those cheap quotes from movers like me, they will let you wait there from morning till 12:00PM in the night then leave if you don't pay them extra money. L&L helped me out early morning after this happened and delivered such an amazing job that you are willing to pay more to watch their superior service. Review - I had a previous moving company scheduled to do my move from Hoboken to WNY. They called the morning of the move and told me that the one truck they had was broken down and they could not move me for 2 days. I quickly began looking and found L&L. Doug showed up to my house in 10 minutes and did an estimate which was very reasonable. Then 20 minutes later 5 guys showed up right away ready to begin. The job was done quickly and professionally given the fact that I lived on the 4th floor of a brownstone with no elevator only good old fashion stairs. I will recommend them to everyone when they are looking for movers. Great job L&L !!!!!

Review - Recently moved to Hoboken and after a few attempts by another moving company to get my sofa into my apartment through a narrow doorway and pass...they gave up leaving my sofa on it's side in the hallway. I called Doug at L&L based on a referral and he asked if he could come over in 15 minutes. In less than 15 minutes Doug and three other men rang my bell. They worked with the sofa and actually had to remove three doors to make the narrow turns but in less than 30 minutes they had the sofa inside and the doors back in place. These men were excellent! Fast, friendly and effective. I will ABSOLUTELY use L&L for my next move and will be referring others to them. Highly recommend them to anyone!

Review - L & L Movers moved me within Hoboken. The owner Doug promised to try and keep the price towards the lower end of the estimate and he kept his word on that promise. The movers were quick and efficient. The only glitch in the entire process was when the movers accidentally broke a piece of paneling in the elevator of my new building. I called the owner Doug and it was fixed the next day. They were reliable and professional. I would definitely use them again.

Review - An overall good experience from start to finish. I originally used them to move me within Hoboken in 2001, and just because I knew their name, I called them August 2006 to move out of Hoboken to Morristown. Doug, the owner, came at my convenience (6:30 AM) to give me a quote. He dropped off more than enough boxes (which he charged me for, but took back and credited me for those we didn't use). On the day of the move, he showed up with more than enough guys to make the move of our 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment in 4 and a half hours (including the 45 minute drive to the new place). There was actually a big problem getting our couch into the new apartment. Problem was, after they carried the couch up two flights and down the hallway, it was too big to cut a corner into the unit. I truly believe most movers would have walked away or made a huge deal(and charge) out of the fiasco. Doug knew enough to figure out how to get the couch in through our 3rd floor window, by first hoisting the couch up onto the roof of his truck and then in through our window which he had removed the panes from and then re-installed. Very cool! It saved me having to buy a new couch. I know who I'm calling when it's time to move out of here to our new home one day. About his guys... they were great. Never stopped working and very friendly.

Review - Ok I see that everyone likes them but I'll be fair here. They were very prompt and responsive w/calls and estimates...however-They were 25% OVER the estimate and after our generous tip we blown our moving budget. Also they failed to bring the wardrobe boxes we requested which caused a small problem. After we were moved in it was near impossible to find any of our clothes the next morning for work since we just threw them in black garbage bags last minute. That sucked. Oh yeah, they were an hour late too. So why did we tip them so generously you ask? Well, it was the hottest day of the year (101 degrees by noon) and the crew they sent never stopped. Not one item was damaged or missing. Best of all, our freshly painted walls didn’t have a scratch on them-not even in the narrow stairwells. Since this was my first time using movers I would have liked it to go better….but from what I’ve been told this is as good as it gets.

Review - These guys are awesome. I have a very large armoire that I wasnt sure was going to make it into my new apartment. In order to get it out of my existing apartment, my neighbor across the hall's door needed to be opened but they werent home...so just when I thought I was going to have to leave it... these guys managed to get it over my balcony and lower it to the ground!!!! Then when it seemed that it would never make it up the stairs at my new place they managed to get it up.. and finally when it wouldnt fit through my door...they somehow made it fit... and not a scratch on it!!! I can't tell you how glad I am that I went with them.

Review - L and L did an outstanding job for us on two moves-- one within Hoboken (a 3d floor walkup and a 4th floor walkup!) and one out to the 'burbs. Doug (the proprietor) is an great person to deal with-- he is flexible re: times, delivers accurate estimates, and if any issues arise is prompt in responding (we had an issue with removal / replacement of a door, and he came over and fixed the problem within 10 minutes). After bad experiences with other movers, L and L is worth every penny-- we'd recommend them for any type of job.

Review - Monday I called L&L for an appointment and by 10am Tuesday my move was done! This is why I haved used L&L five times from 1998 - 2006. Always a big crew, always lightning fast, yet nothing gets damaged or lost (despite my poor packing). The estimate is reliable and always very fair. All the men are courteous and upbeat regardless of whether the boss is present. They always go above and beyond (i.e. switched my refrigerator door to open correctly). Wish you could wave a magic wand and your move would just be done? Trust me - call L&L. Worth every penny!

Review - I just came in to echo the sentiments listed above. L&L has moved us twice, once from Hoboken to Jersey City, and once from Jersey City to Astoria, Queens. Both times they came in under estimate, they did absolutely professional work, and even went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us when we ran into tough spots (once with a couch that was too large to fit through a hallway, once with a boxspring too large to fit up a narrow stairwell). These guys are the best.

Review - We used L and L twice - once to move within Hoboken and once to move from Hoboken to Morristown area. The first time they chareg about the estimate and the second time they were far below estimate (estimated $1800, final cost was only $1100). Granted this was back in 1995 and 2000.
They were curteous and hardworking (only took a 10 minute break during a 8 hour move). Haven't used them in 6 years, but they were great back in 2000.
My suggestion is that you box as much as you can - that was one of the reason for the second move coming under budget.

Review - I have used these guys for three moves (once to Hoboken from North Bergen; twice within Hoboken). I recommend them to everyone. They guys are pleasant, friendly and make quick work of my mountains of stuff. It's impossible to miss how careful they are being with my relatively new and still pristine piano; the last move involved a flight of stairs and several narrow turns but they left not a scratch on it. On two of the moves they added an extra man to the job, increasing the hourly rate, but since that reduced the time spent they still always came in within the estimate. Since the first move, I never call anyone else.

Review - I used L&L for an in town move in Hoboken. These guys may not offer the lowest estimate or the absolute cheapest move, but I can attest that the estimate they give will be legitimate and the move will be without headaches. Not only that, their crew was so professional and efficient that they will have you moved much faster than you might expect. Their customer service was very good and well informed from the first estimate all the way through the actual move - they move went off on time and with no damage to any of my stuff (despite the fact that there was torrential rain the day of the move!). The actual cost was right in the mid-range of the estimate. If their prices seem higher than other estimates you may get, I assure you it is worth paying a little extra money to get this level of service.

Review - We used L&L in May 05 for an in-town Hoboken move. To estimate our place they conveniently came on a weekday before work, they were flexible when we had to change the move by a couple hours, they came on time, worked hard, and finished early, and we came in significantly below the estimate. I've had some bad experiences with movers in the past but very happy with this one and will use them in the future.
