Review - I live right by this place, but to be honest I never liked it. HOWEVER....it was redeemed by their Chicken Pineapple Rice dish. It sounds like a simple dish, but it is served in a hollowed pineapple half. The flavors of the chicken, rice, pineapple, and egg mesh perfectly together. I don't even like peppers/onions, but I like them in this dish!

Review - For lunch, this place can't be beat! The portions for the 5.25 lunch special are generous, and your lunch comes with a free soup. I would recommend the curry soup, it's my favorite.

Review - The Roti Kanai is fantastic and a meal in itself. I get this as take out for lunch. For under $4 you have a great meal.

Review - i doubt we'll be going back. i've had much, much better pad thai (more colorful, more ingredients, more flavor). my date has had much better curried chicken (was it actually chicken in her dish?). on the other hand the service was great. the decor was great. but i must admit the backlit poster ad for bubble tea was a bit much. is this a chain or franchise? like i said, i don't think i'll be going back.

Review - I had ordered takeouts from Satay a couple times recently. It's slightly more expensive than a typical Malaysian/Chinese place, but I found the food to be much fresher and more decent as well. I also like that they put the food in microwaveable containers.

The only problem I have is that they never put forks and napkins along with your orders (unless you ask for it, of course, but it's so easy to forget as you normally would expect that they already put it in the bag). It will totally defeat the purpose of the conveninece of ordering takeouts if I have to use my own forks at home, not to mention that I like to walk to the Hoboken waterfront & eat there during warmer time. I simply don't understand why they are cheap on just a plastic fork (ok, actually, plus a few napkins). IMO, these kinds of little things prevent it to be a better restaurant than it actually is.

Review - Fast and friendly service. The apps were really good (spring rolls and soup) but the main dishes were not impressive. I'd place this restaurant in the any-city typical takeout catagory.

Review - This is one of our favorite places in Hoboken. The food is always very fresh - they cook it, plate it and it is served to you still steaming from the wok! The service is also excellent - waiters are always willing to make recommendations, too. Prices, especially for lunch, are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Review - Although not the best asian food I have had, Satay is probably one of the better and more authentic Malaysian cuisine in Hoboken. The food has strong flavors minus all the grease. Delivery service is prompt.

Review - Clean smelling, not the smell of burnt oil or food. The decor is nice, but the food and variety is high quality. The takeout is not the garden variety greasy food that you order in most of the country, but more along the lines of authentic food. Malaysian plus Chinese food. Excellent, and cheap for the proximity to the PATH.
