Review - This is two bars in one. One area isn't anything special and could be anybar, USA. The other half is more like a lounge/performance space, with some old couches and stuffed chairs - a great place to relax and marvel at the retro clock collection. One night we were treated to a DJ's 80's repetoire that went above and beyond. We even tested him with 2 off-the-path requests, Nitzer Ebb and Ministry, both of which he had. Oh and we won some broadway play tickets via some Budweiser girls holding a promo, we found all the answers to her quiz online through my friend's miniature supercomputer phone. Even though we cheated it felt great. Everyone was looking at us in amazed wonder. Technology, baby. Too bad we didn't even make the show - it was for The Wedding Singer. We invited our svelte Bud promo girl to join us, but she, clever as can be, gave us a bum phone number. These and other exciting adventures await you at The Gold Hawk.

Review - Nice staff, good music, a few drink specials and a friendly crowd of mostly 30-somethings. It's a little bit retro and a good place to drink. Once I missed last call and the bartender offered me a 6-pack to take home, bars in Hoboken don't generally do that. The DJs in the back room play a lot of 80s stuff especially on Friday and Saturday - you can dance if you wanna.

Review - This is a great bar to meet a few friends at for a relaxed good time. They have a good selection of beers usually, and their mixed drinks are decent. The bar area has a middle leaning bar, which makes it easier to just hang out there with somewhere to lean your glass. The back room is a good location for a small event or laid back meeting. I've gone to a couple of fun Halloween parties there - it's the kind of place that welcomes that kind of party without being too self-conscious - come as you are. Definitely a more relaxed, less stiff crowd, usually, which is a major bonus.

Review - This bar is one of my favorites in Hoboken. Not only is the crowd very eclectic, every night offers a different theme as well. I really enjoy the back room-the live bands are a very inviting change in Hoboken. The bartenders are amazing too. They are always ver helpful in taking my order and I've never had a problem waiting too long for a drink. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, more relaxing place to be able to chat, or someone wanting to hear some great music without paying a fortune.

Review - I have been frequenting the Goldhawk for 4 years, and I have never been disappointed. It is a great scene, with good service. My friends and I rent out the back bar at least twice a year and it's always a blast.

Review - This is the closest you can get to the West Village while staying in Hoboken. GoldHawk is an awesome bar with an eclectic crowd. It's a great place to chill with a group of friends if you want to get away from the Hoboken meat market scene.

Review - A good bar with good drink specials and good music, however the clientele is more of the hipster scene (indie rockers and the like). Don't go there looking to have a rip-roaring time unless you are with a large group of people.
