Review - We were in Jersey City for 2 days and found this place and we were very pleased.This place was great.Linda the waitress tells ya like it is in no uncertain terms. She's slow but efficient, once she gets around to your booth. We ate almost every meal there while in the city. Decor is typical diner,nothing special justa typical Greek owned diner.Food was very very good,portions were plentiful and the prices were reasonable. I would make it a point to go back again if in the city.

Review - This is the best place to eat in downtown jersey city and for the least amount of money. It is everything a diner should be -- cheap, good service, great food. The staff is also fantastic.

Review - We found this 24/7 diner on our first day and ate almost every meal there. Food was plentiful, freshly cooked and fast, the staff were friendly, chatty (when not too busy) and really helpful. Special thanks to Angela (the early evening waitress) and Steve the chef. Breakfast also always set us up for a gruelling day shopping and sightseeing. Would recommend to anyone

Review - I scored Flamingo as an average. It is everything a greasy spoon diner should be. It's just clean enough for you to want to eat there. The food is tasty, but since we're not talking about filet mignon here.... a 25
the Service is gruff and honest, but extremely fast. We go on Sundays after church. We love it.

Review - I work 2 blocks away from the Flamingo Diner and only have half an hour to eat lunch, so this place is perfect. I am in and out in no time at all. Plus the service is great and the waitress knows what I want the minute she sees my face. :)

Review - Flamingo's is the ideal place to go for lunch during a busy workday, or for breakfast to start the day. The food is good, and the service is prompt. All three waitresses are fastidious, and really Sofia has a phenominal memory for people's name, what they like, and what their orders. She doesn't even write the orders down. Even though she takes scores of orders, she seems to remembers them all. If your idea of a diner is not only a good place to eat (and that is important for people who do a hard day's work), but a relaxed and a homey place to be in the middle of that workday. And most of day, you will get back within the lunch period. Flamingo's flag should always wave. Losing this landmark diner would be a great disservice to downtown Jersey City - and to Sofia!

Review - I eat there anytime I come from Ontario Canada. Great food, Great Service, Very Fast and the best menu anywhere. Nothing fancy but any type of home cooked meal you could expect.

Review - This place is great. Good cheap food and quick service. But I have to admit I have never been in here sober. Definately a cool place to go after you've been drinking more than your liver can handle.

Review - The food is always fresh as is the Friday night waitress. Cooked as it is ordered, it comes out steaming...as does the cook when Linda doesn't scrub the urns with the elbow brush. Eclectic clientele. Most of them lend an ear to the rogueish babble of the geniuses in the eighth booth down. Service should get a 50 , but when she's mad she clears the joint out. I would'nt rate it 5 stars...maybe 5 meteorites
