Review - Hi - I have two questions (moving from Manhattan to Hoboken)
Are there many singles (30's) in the building or mostly couples?
Do you need a car to get around?

Review - We just moved into the South Vanguard. The management office has been terrific. They have been extremely responsive to all our needs and have done everything in their power to make the apartment perfect. Overall, the building is clean and quiet. The apartments are spacious and clean. The grounds of the Shipyard are also fantastic. Gym is great and has good hours. Pool gets overcrowded, but many other places to relax. One block to 126 Bus to Manhattan and the NYC ferry is on the grounds. A great value for the money. Worth a little more to live here than other luxury buildings in Hoboken not on the water.

Review - We live in the South Vanguard loft apartments, which are 3-level, 2BR apartments. We absolutely love the space --- we don't think you can find a more unique and spacious layout in Hoboken. The apartments have a 2nd floor area which is perfect for a home office, which means you can actually use the second BR as a bedroom for guests, etc. The management office is decent, but can occasionally be annoying. However, all told, they've always fixed what little we needed fixed. We pay $2555 a month, and are finishing up an 18-month lease. There's a decent gym, reasonably priced parking, and BEST OF ALL, the Ferry to midtown NY stops literally at your door. It's a 1 minute walk to the ferry, and I can get to my job in midtown manhattan in 20-25 minutes door-to-door. It's simply an excellent value.
