Review - This is not a large store, as in the description. It is upscale and generally has high-quality products. However, some of their dairy products were past the sell-by date when I was there. Seafood selection is normal in variety, small in quantity. Website looks better than the store actually is. Bread selection normal, whereas I was expecting more from an upscale store. Very small, insignificant, toilettry stocks. In comparison with Shop Rite, much smaller, more limited, but generally higher quality. When choosing between Kings on Hudson and Shop Rite, I recommend shopping at Shop Rite for everything except fresh fruit, specialty seafood (in small quantities), and upscale, specialty products like nicer frozen dinners and things.

Review - They have significantly improved their customer service. The staff are friendlier and generally more helpful. However, the prices for produce are too high, and the quality of the food is not so good that it merits these prices. But, the location is convenient.

Review - Kings has a great location and tons of potential, but it is ruined by two things: an overpriced and mediocre selection of gourmet foods, and the rudest employees you will encounter anywhere short of the Rite Aid next door. If you are looking for gourmet, go to Sobsey's at First and Bloomfield where the owner is knowledgable, helpful, and the foods are amazing. If you are looking for groceries, go to Shop Rite. And if you want to be treated as though yyour mere presence is annoying and frustrating, and you wish to wade through the littering of cigarette butts left outside by the staff who work inside, go to Kings.
