Review - This is by the the BEST sushi in Hoboken. I have yet to have something that isn't great. Service is good and the decor is great. The special rolls are out of this world.

Review - Excellent authentic Japanese atmosphere, unlike some of the trendy other places. Food is delicious (love the sushi/sashimi boat for 2. Weekend lunch/brunch special an incredible deal. Service is top notch. If you like REAL brewed green tea, this is the place for you. BYOB a plus as well.

Review - Sushi and other menu items (tempura, teriyaki, etc.)are always fresh and delicious. Bento boxes are creatively presented and very tasty. Nice service and tranquil atmosphere. Highly recommend dinner at Maru.

Review - I have only gotten take out so I am not sure about dine in. The space is really nice and dark, I imagine it could be romantic! The Roll selection is really large, the last samurai roll is awesome. The prices are not to low and not to high which is just about where you want them for sushi. The staff is freindly and they are fast for take out. I plan to eat there one day for dinner, but for lunch the specials are good. It seems a lot calmer and less bar sceneish than many of the places on that strip of washington st. It seem like a serious restaurant unlike many of the cheap or trendy spots for sushi in Hoboken.
