Review - I have lived here for almost a year now and the experience has been great.
Plus points - 1) Excellent staff at the rental office 2) Good laundry, fitness center, handles packages from courier/mail etc. very well 3) Morning and evening shuttle service to Grove St. Path station 4) Very secure place even though the area does not seem that safe. 5) Closeness to a wine/liqour store and a deli 6) Excellent move in condition 7) Good heating / centralized AC 8) Excellent value for money
Minus point - Some of the rooms face the courtyard which means you cannot really keep the window shades open

Review - We have lived in the Dixon Mills for 6 months. We love our one-bedroom duplex apartment. Noise from our neighbors has not yet been an issue and we have found everyone to be very nice.

Review - All I have to say is there are mice! And don't let them tell you that this is an old posting and they don't have that problem anymore! We saw postings saying there were rodent problems. We asked outright about the situation and were told that the postings regarding mice were old and that situation has since been cleared up. Well as of winter 2005 we got a very unwanted surprise. Sure they claim to have exterminators come every Wednesday if you bug them in the office every day, but unfortunately, it's been over 5 months now and we still have mice. And the more you bug them in the office about it the more they get annoyed at you. They'll tell you that they don't have them, but then turn around and say that they are only in one area or that you can't keep mice out of huge buildings in urban areas. I'd say that was a contradiction wouldn't you? Think carefully before moving here if that's a problem for you. I lived in other apartments in Jersey City and never had this problem, so that whole urban area explanation is a crock!

Review - I have been here for one year. The apartment is awesome. I love the details and hardwood floors. I have had no issues with my parking spot, but there are some staff who are not very friendly. Several of the office staff are amazing and very helpful and accomodating. The managing director and one of the front desk ladies is less than ideal for their position. The walls in my apt ARE PAPER THIN. I can hear everything going on above and to the side of me. That gets annoying since my bedroom is upstairs and I think my upstairs neighbors have dogs. Other than some rude experiences with the staff, it has been wonderful here. The neighbors are very nice and it is very pet friendly.

Review - I moved in 2 months ago. I find that the place is a great price for what you get. You can't find this kind of prices anywhere else in J.C. or Hoboken. The one complaint I have is the service. But I guess that's why its cheap. They are not really willing to work with you. I am on a waiting list for a parking spot. I was given 2 days to respond. Unfortunately I was away on buisness. I lost my spot. Also you are only allowed to go in from 9-5 in those 2 days. Unfortunately I have a job which is not so flexible. Guess I will never get a spot.

Review - I love my two bedroom duplex apartment. It's nice and compare to others in the area, provide the most value to my $$$. The walls are NOT paper thin, people are curteous, and the staff are helpful.

Review - I have lived here for 9 months now and I am not sure what the people below are talking about. I have never heard the neighbors on the side of me and I only hear the neighbors above me if they drop something. Maintenance is done in a timely manner. The only down side so far has been the windows. Being such an old building the windows barely seal at all so during the winter, cold air just blows in. Solved that problem with heat shrink film that I picked up at home depot. All in all you get a lot of apartment for a very reasonable price.

Review - Paper thin walls? I would have been thrilled to have them that thick. And the floors and ceilings? One request for a little less noise after 2 am during the week resulted in a confrontation involving police and lawyers. And my so-called reserved parking space was occupied by various repairman's vehicles(hired by Dixon Mills)more times than could be attributed to simple carelessness. Single females are strongly advised against walking to and from the PATH after dark, due to the fairly inhospitable surrounding neighborhood.

Review - The ceiling is even possibly thinner than the walls. Talk about hearing everything...and forget about asking your upstairs neighbor to stop dance practice, or take off her high heels and boots after 3 a.m....The gym fee is outrageous for a barely adequate facility.

Review - After 2 years of living in a huge studio for much less than I'd pay in Hoboken or Newport I'm leaving Dixon Mills b/c the walls here are paper thin, as a result your living experience is only as good as your neighbors are courteous, and many of the residents here are not.
