Review - To those who do not know me yet, I am a Tech Consultant from NYC here on assignment in JC. Today I discovered Madina (or Medina) restaurant - spelling depends on which flier you may receive, and I am stuffed. Buffet style restaurants always do that to me if the food is good, and the food here is great! The new management (about one month old) definitely knows how to cook. They appear to be having growing/new opening pains though, as most new places do. However based on the past history of the owner, and the quality and taste of the food, Madina is worth the visit. The buffet today included a few different meat choices (Chicken Tikka, Beef, and Goat) several vegetarian choices, and excellent rice. ALL (yes, i tried everything!) was great here. The Goat was in particular very tender and nicely seasoned. The only thing I considered a drawback was the Nan (Bread) is individually served here. So, one one hand it is very fresh, made right before you eat, but on the other hand if it were at the buffet, you wouldnt hesitate to take more. Decoration here is sparse, according to management though, they are planning on having the place decorated shortly. In my opinion, they also have to lose the foam plates. But I hope they keep the Buffet service dishes, very quaint, much better than the tin trays and sterno that I became used to at most indo-pak buffets I have eaten in NYC! Service, as at any buffet is usually non existent, however here, it was nice to have a pitcher of ice water brought out to me before I could ask, and I was asked a couple times if everything was good. Based on that, I would say that service here is above par. Lunch buffet price is $6.00, and they also have take out combo plates for running back to the office starting at $3.99, definitely worth the trip! Not offering delivery or full menu yet, but check back they promise it will happen soon, and if it does this place is a winner! Now excuse me I have to take a nap from overeating here! =)

Review - The food is good and tasty, the Biryani and the gajar ka halwa. The kheema and the goat curry are my favorites here.
The Nans could have been better. Inexpensive and delicious.
The servers seems a little uptight but they do their job.
