Review - Tania's is one of the best-kept secrets in JC...I am somewhat reluctant to even review it, because as busy as they are, you can usually get a table without much of a wait. They renovated a few years ago and now have a full bar and a garden in back. The good is excellent...authentic, flavorful, fresh, homemade POlish cooking like your grandmother made, or what you wished she made. Personally, I don't think the potato pancakes are all that great, but the combination Polish platter, the stuffed cabbage, the pork and prunes, the pierogi and the goulash are all first rate. The guy I am seeing loves the chicken breast but I never tried it...I trust him. The best thing there above all without a doubt is the mushroom barley soup. Amazing. Try the Polish beers. My favorite is Zyliec.

Review - Looking inside from the street, one might get the impression that Tania's is a bit frumpy however, that frumpiness is actually Old World Style. They have an excellent selection of imported beers but the food it is the thing. This is real home cooking the way your Polish grandma used to make. Don't have a Polish grandma, no problem, make believe you do and that her hame is Grandma Tania. Everything on the menu is a hit! The soups are great too especially the borscht. Tania's truly is the best kept secret of Jersey City. If you have not been, do yourself a favor. Your tastebuds will thank you!

Review - Tania's is the best deal in town for hearty Polish comfort food. Service is somewhat stiff but prompt and thorough. They have a full bar. All domestic beers are only $2.50 and their great selection of Polish beers are priced at $3.50. The potato pancakes and pierogis are the best. The dining room is clean, cheery and friendly. You can eat and drink like a Polish king and even with tip it would only set you back about $20. Tania's is a JC treasure!

Review - great food, nice people and warm surroundings. during the summer, make sure you ask about the outside seating in the back! almost like having a back yard dinner!
love this place! fills my needs vor wurst and great beer! perogies are tops!
