Review - I've only been here 3 times, but each time the food was wonderful. I love the coleslaw! hamburgurs, and dinner specials. I've tried other places, spent 30 or 40 dollars on dinner and afterwards wished I went to the light horse tavern because the food would have been better. My only complaint, is that they charge you for each coke, there are no refills and you find this out AFTER the bill comes.

Review - The physical space ( bar..flowers...pictures, ect) is beautiful- no question. They've also paid special attention to the food in the recent months- wonderful improvements. The one lacking element of this establishment is the service. It is not uncommon for a dinner to take a couple of hours.(On Monday night when the rest. is not full and when you and your guest ordered soup and salad) I haven't figured it out-- Do they need to hire more servers or does the kitchen get that backed up?

Review - This was our first trip to NY & we stayed in JC. We had no luck going to Chinatown (3 cabs would not take us from WTC), so we gave up & looked for a local JC restaurant. This is a very nice place. It was pretty pricey so be prepared, but I would give it 5 stars. Comparing it to other 5 star restaurants, it comes out near the top. Beatiful bar, very intersting decorations and artwork. It was also very relaxing after a stressful evening.

Review - Beautiful restaurant with good food. Frankly, I would go more often, but it's overpriced in my opinion ($6 for a beer on tap?). I agree with a previous reviewer's endorsement of the burger.

Review - I have been going to Lighthorse since it opened. It is my favorite place in downtown JC. Food is great and there is always different specials. The decor is the best - alot of detail and the service has been fine every time I have gone either sitting at the bar or tables :) Looking forward to the outdoor seating once the weather gets nice!

Review - Lighthorse is really starting to mature. The service has greatly improved over the last year. The food is wonderful and seems to change quite often. Lighthorse is a nice place !!
