The staff in the actual building (doorman, super) is great.
But if you call the billing or rental office, they are extremely rude and unresponsive.

Review - Have recently moved to this place and had a real tough time to get some work done through management. Had heard about how bad is newport management but now I can say it sucks. Though the apartment is pretty nice and spacious. Be ready for lots of traffic noise due to close proximity to holland tunnel.

Review - Decent place to live. Fairly clean and affordable,though the rents have started going up, with laundry facility in the buiding which is very convinient.Dont expect anything fancy.Close to park, mall, and walking distance to park and ferry. Very nice if you are looking to getting away from highrise living.
Limited closet space and very basic floor plans.
Doorman and staff at building very nice and responsive.
Management office staff, very unresponsive almost to the pint of being rude. Be prepared to make several phone calls before any action is taken.People are either not at their desk or out of the office.
