Review - My friend tells me that hallway renovations are in the design stage (3 designers have submitted proposals), and this eyesore element will be resolved. Guess prices will go up again? Does anyone know the management company?

Review - This is the real thing (not new-construction-make-belief loft); very high ceilings, open spaces, large living. Hallways not well kept, reminiscent of time in NYC when keeping a shabby entrance was meant to hide the great spaces: very '80's I guess.
Once inside the loft, it is its own world.

Review - The spaces are truly special. Yes, prices are very high, but I have gone to a couple of open houses of different units and this is no 'cookie-cutter' building. Distinctive. I want one...! I asked about the hallways; a design is in process. Other than that, you can modify interiors, and new owners are upgrading all the time. Of the 30+ units, all but a couple (I was told) are owner-occupied; at those prices, that will bring stability. Few are first owners, most have been sold and improved a couple of times. Does anyone know what the average price per sf is?

Review - Individually renovated units result in a variety of styles of loft living, some more attractive than others. BUT the space is splendid, true loft, with character and history.
Previously neglected structural work now being done; lobby and hallways shabby, from a time when the area was unsafe, and it was best to not advertise the grand spaces within. Designers at work on plan for common spaces.
Units selling at increasing prices, new owners bring expectations for greater improvements.
I waited too long to buy, now hope for the right unit to be put on the market.

Review - Has anyone seen the apartments currently for sale? Some are lovely but, the $$$$ is out-of-control! The others are incredibly filthy and in bad bad condition and are equally outrageous in terms of $$$$. Does anyone know of any units that are livable and fairly priced? And does anyone know when the common areas will be revamped?

Review - There are some beautiful loft spaces in this building. It is one of Hudson Countie's best kept secrets. All the units are different. The halls do need some work. Their board has been plagued with poor leadership over the past few years who just can not get the job done. Constant finger pointing with no results. The other issue is that some people in the building bought their units a while ago and have made no improvements. The only hope is if maintenance and taxes go up to a point which would force the stiffs (who do not care to invest in their own home)out of the building. Some units are wonderful and need very little work, others are in desparate need of modernization. Lobby needs to be expanded to allow for adequate security desk. This building could and should have better amenities than the Sugar House. Need some fresh blood to make changes. Many units can be viewed in a book called New York Lofts Check it out and good luck.

Review - Quote: {so go back to where you were before.}
This is the sort of idiot comment that some scummy prick renter who can't string an English sentence together would come out with. .
Ciao!

Review - Massive units some are 2500 sq ft ++, true lofts.
However, the lobby is shockingly cheap and the corridor smells of pee.
Plus I understand that there are still a number of units owned by people who purchased before the area turned arty/yuppie, so you and your partner might be living in an ultra modern 2500 sqft loft when next door there are 15 people all in one unit.
