Review - My husband, my son, and I just had dinner at the one in Weehawken, N.J. This was our first time to Ruth's Chris Steak House and I was really looking forward to the experience because I heard that their steak was out of this world. My son ordered the lobster bisque soup which he said was the best that he ever had. For the main course he ordered filet mignon which he ordered medium, it was perfect. My husband also ordered the same and his was wonderful too. The meat was brought to the table sizzling on a very hot plate, it was tender, juicy, and tasty. They both raved about how great it was. I ordered the catch of the day which was garlic crusted halibut, I found a few bones but other than that it was pretty good, nothing to rave about. We ordered two sides, mashed potatoes with a touch of garlic and creamed spinach. They were also good but nothing to write home about. For dessert I ordered banana cream pie topped with caramelized bananas, sounds awesome but it was just so so. I had two glasses of wine and my husband had two beers, the bill with tip came to $220.00, which I think was way over priced. I think what we were really paying for was the view of manhatten which was just on the other side of the river. The highlight of the night was our waiter, Lonny. He had me in stitches everytime he came to the table, he was pleasant, funny, and attentive. I would like to go again but for that price it would have to be a very special occasion and I would definately request Lonny to serve us again.
